Hi guys...I'm not american, so please forgive my terrible english!! This is the fifth time I play BG 2 e now (only now) I'm having some troubles with some paralel "quests"...for example, in my first time I did the quest with Jaheira (the quest against the Harpers)...this time I'm already at the day 50 and Meronia hasn't come up to me!! (maube 'cause we are having a romance) What can I do? The same problem happens with Cernd...he's with me for a few days and his "friend" that appears to make the quest of his son did not appear yet!! Please...somebody help me!!!

Try leaving Athkatla and re-enter - try at the Docks, Slums, and Government districts - those are the ones that garuntee starting quests - sometimes the other three don't always work :xx:

Go to docks and kick her out.
Then accept her in your party again.

Thats what worked for me (though i didnt try to make that quest :cool: ).

Meronia won't come near you in cities or dungeons.
And don't push Jaheira out of your party!!!

So, just go to, let's say, DeArnise hold.


With Cernd it's different. He needs to be in Athkatla, but your level while recruiting him mustn't be too high (yes, there's a bug with it). This bug is corrected with SPfixpack.

If you are romancing J., you have to rest outside to encounter (and kill) the bandits and then she'll appear. Maybe...

Thanks a lot people!!! I just rested outside and after the battle against the bandits Meronia appeared!! But now there's another problem...after killing Galvarey, it's supposed to appear another Harper to instigate me to fight (name's Rivianne guess so)...but she's not appeared yet ( oh my oh my...these things only happen to me)Why???...And how do I do to take this SPfixpack for myself???

Relax, Revianne will not appear immediately after Galvarey battle... patience, patience... you must not rush it with Jaheira :)

Ok that's it! I'm going crazy you know! I downloaded the SPfixpack! There exists a read.me file that says I must install the official patch before I install this fixpack! Well...that's done, official patch already installed...but when I tried to install the fixpack, a message of MS-Dos appeared saying:
"Error:unable to find DIALOG.TLK in :
dialog.tlk
Please run this program in your main BG II directory.
Error:Failure ("unable to find DIALOG.TLK")
Press ENTER to exit."
What the Hell this means?????????Somebody help me please!

Isn't that obvious ;) ? Unzip the file to your BG2 installation folder, and run it there.

Maybe I wasn't so clear...that's what I did! This is the reason I'm so sad! I know nothing about programing, but I understand what the DOS "says"!!!!! Anyway, I'll try again...

Just to clarify, the .exe file (of the fixpack) is in the same folder where dialog.tlk is?

Yes I am! But now...suddently, the fixpack seemed to install. Until another problem appeared. Now it says there's a problem with my SETUP-1~.DEBUG file...strange isn't it? And it asks me to e-mail this file to extremist@sorceres.net. Well, that's what I did and I only have to wait...thanks for the help of all of you!!! :)
