Anyone else get this far in TOB yet? This is the last blocked door in your Abyss stronghold. I just fought the Ravager, and the bugger just won't die. Nothing I did seemed to hurt him, at most my characters were doing about 5-9 damager per hit. After fighting with him for about 10 minutes (and using up all my healing potions) it was just my main character left. The rest of my party was dead, killed by the Ravager or those damn blades that keep spawning. As a last ditch effort I changed into the Slayer, and managed to do about 7-9 damage per hit. Combined that with some multiple whirlwinds, and I managed to get him to 'near death' but then the Slayer ability ran out and I was toast... I'll be trying again shortly :) Anyone use any specific strategies? He seems almost immune to all physical/magic attacks, not much gets through.

This is the second time I've had to reload out of all the battles fought so far in TOB. The first was fighting the dragon Draconis. He was a nasty one! Compared to Draconis, his father Abizhal or whatever his name was, was a piece of cake...

So far TOB is great, it's the story I was expecting out of the original BG2. For me, the BG2 story seemed to take a left turn in the middle somewhere, when it stopped being about my 'untapped power' and turned into stopping Jon. I'll have to try Watcher's Keep soon, just been playing the TOB storyline so far.

i guess id hafta know your party better before i can figure out whats wrong, however i didnt find the ravager that difficult

i had my 27th lvl paladin (my main character), mazzy at 29th, anomen at 33rd, and valygar at 26th all with +5 weapons (or better... carsomyr +6!!!!) all using greater whrilwind and critical strike multiple times, plus i summoned 2 air elementals, and earth elemental, 2 mordenkainens swords, and a deva. took him down in no time :) aerie at 21/16 and imoen (single class thief thanks to shadowkeeper) at 31st where enough to handle the swords

for me.. I had 2 tanks, Sarevok and Minsc who were real powerful... i think they were Lvl 28 or something and had loads of attacks in one round plus damn low thacos... plus viconia behind and my 3 mages... my 2 tanks and my summoned elementals and Planetar took care of every creature pretty easily...

the only problem i had was rationing my cure spells and using up most of my healing potions coz i couldnt rest in the Abyss

Iron eagle:
I don't exactly know what the dialogue is telling you.
If you've already beaten Balthazar, the dialogue (when attempting to leave the pocket plane) should say something like:
"Your destiny is nearly complete"
1. Return me to where I was
2. I am ready. It is time for the end.
3. I am not ready to leave at this time.

yea it says that, when i pick finalm it says i have not completed one of the challenges, the first time it worked fine, i cant think of anything i did differntly besides the fact that it was a berserker instead of a theif/mage
