Hi all! I just set everything ready to install tutu, but I'm confused with this: Can I install almost every BG2 WeiDu mod I like when tutu is installed? Or will they conflict with tutu and BG1?

View Full Version : Confused about Tutu Shaitan Sun, 20th Nov '05, 11:56pm Hi all! I just set everything ready to install tutu, but I'm confused with this: Can I install almost every BG2 WeiDu mod I like when tutu is installed? Or will they conflict with tutu and BG1? Andyr Mon, 21st Nov '05, 1:20am You can install them if you want, but there'd not be much point in many cases--for example, why install Kelsey when he's a BG2 NPC and you're playing the BG1 story? There are a lot of mods designed specifically for or to work with Tutu. Check out http://www.pocketplane.net and http://www.gibberlings3.net for some good examples. :) Shaitan Mon, 21st Nov '05, 10:35am @Andyr: Yes I have seen your statement about Kelsey before, but I thought more about Weimers mods, UB, Baldurdash, questpack and the virtue mod. A mod such as Divine remix states in the readme, that it works with tutu, but both with this mod and with the previously mentioned I'm not sure wether to install them after or before tutu. Western Paladin Mon, 21st Nov '05, 10:41am I've installed the anti-paladin kit from Tactics in Tutu before, and it seemed to work okay. Most of the components from Ease of Use that you might like are part of Gibberlings Three's Tutu Tweaks (eg. infinite stacking, rest anywhere, etc). olimikrig Mon, 21st Nov '05, 3:06pm @ Shaitan There wouldn't be much sense in installing UB or Questpack either, as both holds quests for BG2 anyways... What I've experienced with tute as that the kit packs and such works just fine, note, however, that bg1 mods won't work (or function propper, anyways) with tutu, as tutu uses bg2 engine... There's loads of quite good tutu mods out there, so you might as well aim for those. Andyr Mon, 21st Nov '05, 3:45pm Weimers mods, UB, Baldurdash, questpack and the virtue mod.Weimer's mods: Tutu Tweaks from G3 has all the relevant components you might want from Ease-Of-Use and more, designed for Tutu. Use that instead. http://www.gibberlings3.net . His other mods (like Solaufein, Item Upgrade, Spell-50) will obviously be of no use during Tutu. UB: Again, no point using during Tutu because it is a BG2 mod. If you want the kits from the mod, they are in Divine Remix, which it sounds like you have. Baldurdash: If you want to use this fixpack, install it before you run the Tutu converter. Questpack: Again, no point since it is a BG2 mod. Virtue: Not for use with Tutu, though Sim has mentioned he might make a Tutu version at some point. I will also mention that if you are going to install mods on top of Tutu then you should (with the exception of official patches or Baldurdash) install them after you have run the Tutu converter. Shaitan Mon, 21st Nov '05, 3:51pm Thanks everybody! I will consider using my clean backup and trying tutu just for trying it out. It's gotta be worth it :) . Wish me good luck :D Andyr Mon, 21st Nov '05, 6:41pm Good luck--make sure you read the ReadMes, though, and you won't need it. |
