Well first of all, this has happened to me twice now. I know for a fact that a human cannot be created with more then 18 points of attributes. But, I somehow managed to get my human (upon character creation - from a saved game or import, one of the two but i cant remember which one) to have 19 points of attributes. Now what im wondering is, is this due to some equipment I was wearing, or maybe a potion has some permanent effect, or was is just pure luck? Is there anything that can make your character get some permanent points?
Another thing is, what do romances actual do in this game, i usually got all the ladies going for me but nothing really cool comes out of it, like that drow lady, she at least knows what she wants huh?

There are some events in the game that can alter your attributes permanently. These are the ones that get carried on with character import. Effects from potions and other items disappear at this point.
