My cousin tried out the ring of Mask's Favored and the Assassin's Eye sword and he found an interesting thing to do.
He summoned an eye and a thief. He selected them both, cast in an invisibility spell on the thief and sent the pair out. With the eye, the thief can venture forth and the player won't have to worry about the "fog of war"

Also, the thief can apparently set trap combinations. He put a bounty hunter's snare and 2 regular snares. The target follows the thief and eye towards the trap, then the bounty hunter's trap goes off, enclosing the target in a resilient sphere then the 2 traps are triggered killing him.
