View Full Version : Did I Screw-Up Jaheira's Romance?

Hmmm... This may be bad. Normally, I wait to go to the Graveyard District in Chapter 6 until AFTER I have completed Jaheira's Romance. Typically, I rush to Spellhold, so there's so a whole lot of quests left over from Chapter 2 when I return to Athkatla, so it normally isn't an issue.

However, this play through, for a change of pace, I included Nalia in my party. As soon as I exited the Underdark, the messenger arrived to tell me that Nalia had to attend her father's funeral. This is a problem. As soon as I entered the Graveyard District, I was confronted by Bodhi. Now I don't know how the romance will play out. Since I've already seen Bodhi, and she didn't take Jaheira (because I had yet to complete the romance) is the romance now screwed? Will it continue even though this has happened? Will it continue in ToB? On a side note, this is now another reason not to take Nalia along with me.

Heh, do not blame Nally Nalia for anything, she is precious.

Anyway, I had a similar problem. I rushed in SoA in my first run so my romance with Jaheira was not completed. No graveyard or excessive harper plot occured.

Yet romance continued as usual when I started ToB. Though after graveyard thing, I can'T remember a single love-talk in the rest of the SoA. I guess it ends abruptly if you are not prepared for Bodhi's abduction. Just an idea.

Well, I got another love-talk last night, so maybe it's not totally screwed. I doubt she'll be kidnapped by Bodhi now, but at least the romance should continue in ToB.

Hi
First time playing BG2. Only mod installed is ease-of-use (+ ToBFixPack). As a woman I felt best playing woman (ranger). And because I also wanted to experience the Jaheira romance, enabled romancing samesex npc's. She is my girl! Untill ToB..
Then all of a sudden Anomen says to me "I love you" and that Gorion creature spoke of Anomen as if he were the love of my life.
And all through SoA I've been ignoring this fellow!!
I can tell you, this totally screws up the flow of the game, the roleplaying and well..FUN!
Suggestions to fix, anyone? Thanks.

I've had that happen on my last couple of run-throughs as well...playing as both a man AND woman, Anomen romanced me in ToB when he hadn't in SoA. I don't have any romance components from EoU installed, so I don't know what causes the bug. Best solution: just dump him. Give him one of the harsh responses from the romance LT, and everything should be fine. I did that both times, and it didn't affect my relationship with Saerilith OR Kelsey.

Besides, if anyone deserves to be dumped, it's Anomen. :p

@Aldeth: It sounds like you're going to need to reset some of the global variables. I don't know the exact global you'll need to change, or to what number, but I'm sure a little searching within ShadowKeeper will uncover a global named "BodhiGraveyardEncounter" or something similar. Try setting it to '0' and try again. :thumb: :rolling:
