View Full Version : problem with SK
Skywind Wed, 18th Oct '06, 12:25pm I had a problem with my game which is: not getting any HLAs after reaching more 3million xp.
I managed to solve this problem, but the characters in my saved game have already reached a certain high lv, which means I already missed out some HLAs points... I tried using SK to put in the HLAs I missed out, but although the SK program already done that and saved the game, when I load the edited save, I still couldn't find the HLAs.... Anyone can help?
Thanks in advance!
Boy at a busstop Wed, 18th Oct '06, 2:03pm I think this would be the surest way to do it:
Set you characters lvl back to 0
Remove all class skills and proficiences (except for the 2 or 4 you start with)
Save and load your game, you should be able to lvl up, that way you can select your HLA's
Ofcourse if you dual class, you first have to lvl to the point where you want to dual.
Old Raven Wed, 18th Oct '06, 2:28pm Have you tried resting?
Faraaz Wed, 18th Oct '06, 2:31pm If you open up your edited save game in SK and look at the Innate abilities tab, you should have the abilities there. If they ARE there...then its just a matter of resting.
If they are NOT there, then maybe you didnt add them correctly, or watever, just add them again, save, rest and check. If this STILL doesn't work...your game is FUBAR'd and I recommend a re-install. :)
Thor Wed, 18th Oct '06, 2:51pm Keep in mind that you'll reroll all the HP rolls, and unless I'm mistaken, you'll regain the level-specific saving throw bonuses aswell.
I'm sure you can see the implications to having twice the HP and way to good saving throws yourself :p
Silverstar Wed, 18th Oct '06, 3:27pm When you add a HLA via SK it is set to zero use per day. They seem to be there via SK but they do not show up in the game because, well, you can not use them. Use the + button in the SK Innate abilities screen to enable the HLA to be used one per day. Push + for as many times as you want, each push will add another use of the ability per day. This is the set amount of times you can use the HLAs such as Greater Whirlwind attack, Death blow, Set Traps etc.
For mage/priest spell HLAs, just add that spell to your spell book. (storm of vengeance, comet etc.)
Hope this helps. ;)
@Thor
I do not think he will regain saving throw bonuses when he levels up that way. Saving throws are set in stone for each level of experience IIRC. But he would definitely get HP again if he levels up via this method, so he had better set the HP that of lvl 1. Also set thieving skills to base before doing such a thing.
Thor Wed, 18th Oct '06, 4:28pm Hmm.. You sure? Say that I set my saving throws on my Fighter to say -10 each, and start leveling. Would that mean that he'd never gain additional boosts to the saving throws, but instead loose the bonus at the first levelup?
What about the sorcerer spells? Set in stone too?
Gastong Wed, 18th Oct '06, 5:16pm That depends on how you do it, if you just add it as: save vs death: # Then it "fixes" itself" at level up but if you make your own spell in a game editor, you can add that spell as an effect and that spell could give you +10 to all saves or 10 extra spells as a sorcerer
