Im wanting to do a bit of tweaking with the character editor on BG1 tutu... and the only one that pops up a save game file is Shadow Keeper. But when I try to load the game that SK saved, the game crashes... anyone know why this is? Is there some tutu savegame editor I dont know of?

Some of the editin you have done has messed the game up. I'm not sure if I remember correctly, but i had problems when editing my stats but it may have been something else :) But you definatly have changed something you're not supposed too. At the end of the day, i had the same problem and avoided doin the bad changes :)

Did you give yourself any stackable items? That is the easiest way to mess up a save.
Malovae is right. While SK will allow any changes you want to make, the game itself will crash to desktop if the engine can't handle it.
The best way to go about it would be to revert to the original save and change only a couple of things at a time, each time testing to see whether the save works properly or not.
Also make sure you never have SK open when you try to play the game.

Hmm... Ive had SK open pleanty of times, just without any of the savegames loaded.

I shall try it in a bit that way to see what messes up...

There needs to be a tutu compatible SK or something...

Just tried it... gave her a couple +1 daggers, and the game loaded fine, upped her health to 10, loaded, changed her hair colour to lavender, and "metal" to teh copper-looking colour, and it crashed... >_>

Also, adding some spells that aren't available in the game to your spell book can cause a crash, although not all of them crash your game.

Yeah, there are colors in SK that you can select but that can not be used by character. Don't know why they are listed but I'm pretty sure that's normal.

Nope its not normal. Because in BG2, and IWD1 & 2 I changed the hair colour of my pcs as well as the metal, armour, leather, and clothing colours, and didnt have any problems at all... So Im guessing its just an unforseen bug in the conversion of BG1 -> 2

^I HAD the SAME bug about colors in BG2, I changed Armor/Leather/Metal colors to very SPIFFY ones and it crashed! I changed it to other (still cool) colors and it worked like a miracle! If you ask me, COLORS is your problem so do not select very radical colors like I did, there are lots of colors that can be selected only by SK and do not cause a crash but some DO so beware!!!

Someone should make a list of what colours will crash a game. :D

I just tested this... it seems theres a bit of a trick... or so it seems.

With hair, I had one called 0x1A, or something like that, and scrolled down till I got a lavender colour, which was titled Ox1G or the like. And it didnt crash the game. So you have to keep the same title type.. cant go and switch a Ox1A for say an Ox2G or whatever... Id have to go look at the names again.

yeah colors do crash the game, i picked some of the ones at the bottom, Ex somethings mostly and it crashed the game.

Does shadowkeeper allows you to edit group members like Minsc, Imoen, etc?

Well than I guess I will have to add this to my list of items my friend is going to burn onto a CD for me. Once I have all the items from this website and gibblering.com I will have enough mods to actually provide me a challenge in BG2. Of course this is after I complete the ToB. I have to complete that bioware expansion.
