DRSW(DragonRider SkyWard):All right here's my D&D campain. I dont want any more then !10! adventurers. I'm not going to run an all out war. Some one else can do that. Ok the rules are the same as the rules for D&D on paper(I might make a few exceptions to the rules if you the players can tell me why I should). Anyways this is all you need to do:
1. Make an adventurer of 1st level.
2. You have 500gp to spend on your adventurer.
3. Post all stats of your adventure for me and every one else to see so no cheating can be done and any one can see it at any time.
Well with all the rules set out before you heres the first part of my campain.

DM:The local traven is filled to night. Every seat is taken. Theirs even more people standing. It's the first day of THE WEEK OF BITTING. A rather large humanoid walks in to the bar. His features are covered by a very larg cloak. Taking the hood of the cloak off he reveils himself as a Draconian! Although the town of Mxnig is a mixing pot of all types creatures Draconians are very rare. The whole traven becomes silent. He speaks in a low, deep voice. "I am looking for any who will be willing to help me "escort" goods west through the Darking Hills. Will any of you join me?"

DM:Your adventures have grown up in this town their whole lives. Main buildings are: Tavern, Hotel, houses(20-30), small temple. Mxnig is loacted inbettween Darking Hills/west, Avators Castel City/south, Plains of the Fort Wars/east, Saint's Dragon Mountions/north.

ooc: With a few changes and clarifications I'll join. First, what version is this? 3E, I hope? Second, what method do you wish us to use in rolling our characters? Third, what setting is this, or if custom, what is it similar to?

Changes-- er, if you don't mind, use a spellchecker. Also, ten might be a bit much, unless your campaign is designed for that many, in which case you should take a couple days to drum up support and enroll the adventurers. :)

Yep I am useing the 3E rules. And I will start useing a spell cheaker cuz I know that I cant spell. Role your staits with a d20 and add +'s accoriding to the class and species. This is a custom setting, ummm it's similar to the eage of the the rocky mt. where it mets the plains of the west.

He stutters, "Drunk?Drunk? You heathen...the night is only begun, and I have not even begun telling my stories! Well anyways, I want to join you and your band. I want some adventure, as I'm only a young dwarf of 152 years, and moved away from me mother's. Is there any pay? What will I do in specific likes? What I'm trying to get at is you need to tell more about this caravan or whatnot of yours. By the way...Will I get to use weapons and dig and Dwarven things of that kind. Mind you, I don't have a want of any sort to swim or fly, but I'm mighty good at carrying. WEll, speak up now, and answer me what I've asked and tell me much more, about the adventures and risks involved, and about yourself. By the By, will I get to kill them Grobi skum?"

The Draconian becomes suddlen quite as does the whole travern. His face becomes as stiff as stone and it looks as though he's about to breath fire. "What you WANT to know about me is indifferent to what I know about you." he says it with a powerful dragon voice that could have very well been form the gods them selves,"I know not much abot the rood ahead, your skills will most likly be needed sooner or later and I hope you come by some Grobi skum because I'm itchig for a fight with them since the day I first say them." he gave out a harty laugh"Your payment? Well how about this 100gp up front, what every treasures and trinkets you find to keep as your own, and then if we make it to the other end of the DarkHills you will recive an amount of gold proper to the job you did. Their do you think that is fare? If not to bad take it or leave it."

The Dwarfs jaw drops in hearing the Dragonic speach that cant not be repeated in any other tong execpt in Dragonic. "Call me Kin for short. I hope your buing the jin tonight cuz i'v got a lot to talk about." the night wheres on with talk "So their I was, just me and a hundred gobos! all the men around me have died and exploded!::BELCH::bet you didn't know that! yep we Draconians eather explode turn to a pile of dust or stone and some of us even turn in to a pile of goo hahaha! Though I cant remember which of us does what cuz none of us has died for over a hundred thousand years last I heard. Ha! You could almost call us a speices that wont go away, and we wont! Haha! ::takes a sip of his drink:: Haha! ::BELCH:: so anyways i sliced of all their heads in one quick slash or maybe it was more then that? Well hell what about you, you ever killed anyone?"

Dude, what you type is as good as any I'v seen! Keep it coming!I love a good chalenge and thats what you are. Keep doing what your doing and if you have any questions ask me becacuse I want you to know what I'm talking about and I want you to know how to play by the time this is all over(hopefully not any time soon:)) You gave me a few good ideas that I will be incorperating in to further adventures and this one.

We'll each go our one ways for awile and in one week we'll met back here at this very spot, anyone sitting here just kick them out of their set they wont bother you with a small jab in the ribs. Hey Dm. What's up? Uh, I want Shadow to go into the hotel, so I'm gunna need your help. Discription, meeting people, well, you're the DM so I guess you know. Alrighty then, keep the fun going,and by the way you're doing an awesome job of DM! In this post I'm having Shadow break into a PRESUMABLY empty house and see what he can "borrow", so I'm gunna try to say it below, but if I do it wrong or intrude on DM's territory lemme know.

Shadow, waking up the next day with a rather small headache, got dressed, armoured {one can never know when he'll fight} and set out for the hotel. While walking, he thought to himself: "I'll go to the hotel, see what there is to buy, maybe buy, then go to the temple, as today is Khara-Urn`, and worship." Then, as Shadow looked into the window of a house, a small grin :grin: came across his face in the empty street. He was going to break in. He stood on woodpile about 10 feet away to look in; the house seemed empty. He however was too short to climb in,so hehad to try the door, orcellar door,while thestreet wasstill empty. "I'm not a bad dwarf,"he thought, "I just need somefoodandprovisions, andjewelry, yes jewlry,but this will be only one of few Ihit inthis pleasant littletown." He went for one of the entrances.

So why are you looking for some thing to "barrow". Your purse is allready heavy enough." She holds SOB's purse with all his gp's up. She gives it back to him. "Anyways I wouldn't try this town to hard, it's not worth it. Why dont you try the town over the Darking Hills. I'm on my way their in fact. I hear thiers a temple thier with a hidden passage. But you wouldn't be interisted in anything like that now would you?" Ta-Na puts her hands on her hips and does a small pout. "Would you?"

You can go two ways with this. One: Ask her to join you party and then keep going around town. or Two: What ever else you can think of!

Awesome! It's still the day AFTER sob and drsw met in the tavern, right, so we have time right?

I'll say that I was getting a little ticked that you haven't posted anything for awile. But I can understand that not ever one can get to their computer every day:) Dont worry about it, it gives m esome time to think of what i'm going to do to you next:evil: Hey dude your doing great for your first time, I really injoy it. Usualy the guy will get a small flower or something not worth the mention. All right last thing before I get to the game. You seem to be my ownly person that plays the others keep saying that they will but never do. You can carry an unlimited amout of items. Now that your starting to use items and spells and things like that I'm going to tell you a few things and give you some examples of how it works, K? Good!

Ok, while we're on the subject of attacks heres how you attack.
1. I the DM will tell you that your being attacked. Then I will end the post.
2. You will then pick a weapon to fight with for the rest of the fight. If you want to change weapons or use an item during a battle you'll have to tell me.
3. I'll tell you what the monsters did while and during the attack round. I'll also give you a list of who has taken damage and how much.
4. We keep doing this intell you eather kill of every one or decied to run. You dont lose and thing if you run so dont worry about it if you do. Some times this is the only choce.

Ok thats it if you have any questions just ask.

"What are you tring to pull!? The cost of these items come to 42gp! What do you thing that I am?! A Gobo?! heack no! No pay up the real amount or I might be forced to call the guards. Now about the ring, it lets the lady talk with animals, to bad it doen't work on males. Well if you want it its 200gp. Clearly that will insure you that your lady friend over their will stay with you for many years."

Uh, I'm a little confused, but I think that I'll get it once something happens, I mite just be a little slow. So by the time I get to level 8 I have to hits in a turn, right? And then when I reach 15 I get 3 hits in a turn, right? I think I'll get it pretty quick. I also don't get step 3 above. Could you just try to re-explain it please? I'm not even gunna try to explain just what I don't get, so u just do the best job possible. OOPS! Ok here i go explaing the steps again. I was typing fast because I had to go eat dinner. The wife hates it when I'm on the computer for long hours, LOL! Well here I go...
1. I will tell you that you are being attacked.
2. You will tell me what weapon you want to use to fight with.
3. You eather chose to fight or run at the beging of every turn.
4. I will role your damage to the monsters that you are fighting.
5. At the end of my post I will tell you how much damage was done if any to anything.
6. We start over untill all enimies are dead.
Got that? I hope so. My opion on the ring thing is that you should go for it. It is a good by(it's real price is alot more then what I'm giving it to you for) though it only works on females it could help you later traking down people and gathering info. My sapierer intelengce says that you should by it;) I do think it would be a good side adventure to go to the Plains of the Fort Wars. It will give you some thing to do while you wait out the week instade of getting drunk and getting in to **** that you need not:) You are right on the part of how many times you can attack some one at different levels. One thing that your wrong at though is getting thier fast. It does take some time, I'll give you XP awards for deads done well, anywere from 300 to 50,000.
And it veries form the different levels that you are at. The one thing that you must remember is that YOU can do what ever you want just like in real life. You have many choices so dont be afraid to say that you want to go some were else. About you gold peices heres how i goes. You started with 500gp +the 100gp that Kin gave you + 10 that Ta-Na gave you = 610gp - 42 what you bought = 568gp You deffently have enough for that ring plus the other things that you want. You really want that waraxe dont you? Dude dont worry about running out of gp's. I try to keep my players well stocked with gp's unless they decide to go on a drinking bing. It's the items that I put before you is what will be the things to think about. Every item thats not normal(normal is a weapon armor and potions, ect.) has some deeper meaning. If you can think of the way it was ment to be used you will be very good off. Back to the Fort Wars again, you'll be back in time to leave to the dark hills as long as you dont spend alot of time their you'll be able to get their and back fairly quickly.

"Thats what they all say." He says under his breath, "they look but never buy."

Ok, I think I get it now.

"You know what, sonny? I will indeed buy that ring for 200 gps. Here you are." He gives all his dues, and recieves the ring. "Say, can you tell me the best way to Fort Wars? Oh, and I need a favor for 10 more gold pieces...could you give this mesage to a draconian named Kin?" The message reads:

HELLO, KIN, HOW GOES THE DAY? SAY, I FOUND A WOMAN MAGE BY THE NAME OF TA-NA, AND SHE AND I ARE GOING TO FORT WARS TO GET MY AXE I WANT. I SHALL RETURN IN BY THE MORROW'S EVE, AND NO WORRIES SHOULD BE MADE BY YOU. GOOD TIDINGS BE BROUGHT TO YOU, AND DRINK WELL.

The dwarf gave him this extra 10 and the letter, and waited to recieve his items purchased.

A scrony little Halfling comes out from behind the counter. He's carring all your stuff to you. He drops it in frount of you. "He...here y...you g...go." Then runs back behind the counter.
"I'll give the mesage to him with in the hour."

SOB turns and walks to Ta-Na. "Did you get every thing that you wanted?" She looks like someting very troubling has just come over her.

"Yes I did, lady, but I must ask more importantly, What is the matter? You look troubled."

"It is nothing." Seeing the worry in SOB eyes se goes on, "Do not worry it tis nothing that concerns yourself." Wipping the worrness off her face, "What know?"

"WEll, if you say so...AS I was talking with the deskman, I bought my items, and I bought this:"
HE hands the ring to her.
"The manling said I should by you some dresses, or a bonnet, but I thought that I should buy you something a tick more exotic...so here is the Ring of Animal Friendship, which allows you to talk with the animals of the wild, as well as mystical creatures. Well, there you are! Now, he aalso said that Fort Wars is a days walk from here, and there I want to buy a dwarven axe or two. Now at fisrt I was going to invite you to join me, but I thought, and discovered that I need a favor from you that involves you staying back....Are you up to it? Oh, and what do you think about the ring?"

Her face lights up a million times over! "Thank you! I will stay with you till the end. You are the camander of this party so if you want me to stay then I shall. It will give me some time to gather my things and then I'll be ready when you come back." She walks off.

SOB what are you going to do next?

He stops her from runnning away in her excitement...

"Dear lady, I think you must have missed part of my talk, no worries, though. I need you to do a favor that involves you to stay here in town until I return on the morrow's eve. I need you to go to the house I tried to steal from, then to the house on it's left hand, and look and try to find a glass jar in the back that I saw when I was around there. Ok now you get to learn something new! You now control Na-Ta or what ever. To do this all you have to do is write a speret pagraph of what shes doing. The only thing I will still control for her will be what spells that she learns and some other things. Heres what she knows and has. If you want to know what something means just ask. You wont be able to control her yet intell you tell me what that mombo jombo means too.

Hey, uh, quite frankly I have no idea as to what you are talking about when you say "you can't control her until you tell me what this stuff/ mombo jombo means"... sorry, but once again I need a small explanation. Shadow, alredy knowing the road to get to Fort Wars quickest, sets out for his favored and desired (hopefully runed) battle axe.He tells the gatekeeper to remember his face, so he'll let him in the village at night without the fear of an interrogation, and walks out without a hitch. HE walks, and by midday he starts to notice how quiet the open field is near him along the road. He certainly hoped that the highwaymen were asllep right about now! He started to wistle a small dwarven mining tune....

Ok, when I say SHADOW doesn't want to meet highwaymen(robbers) I don't mean that I don't want him to, if you catch my drift. Ok, sorry about Ta--na, but I'll figure it out soon.

~Ta-Na(You can change your name if you want.)
~XP: 0(XP is the amount of experence points that you have. You can get XP from a number of things like suducing a man, killing anyone(Though you can kill any one and get their XP it could be bad, kill the wrong person the whole world is after you and the bounty on you head.)
~GP: 0(GP is smply short for gold peices. You can buy many things with them too.)
~Items:
(This is were I'll keep track of all your items for you. As of now you oly have two Items. A word of advice, dont but armor. Wizards cant use spells if they have armor on.)
1 Quarterstaff: A smiple weapon. Use to bash people or monsters on the head and its also used in some spells.
1 Ring of Animal Friendship: Only useably by females. Allows the wearer to talk with any animal or being of nature.
~Spells:
(Spells are your best friend. You can not only use them for hurting enemies but you can use your ray of frost to frezz lock and then break the lock more easily;) One thing that you'll notice if your a D&D fan is that spells cn only be used once per day. This would be very compluctated on the boards. So thats why I'm alowing you to use any spell as much as you want.)
Summon Monster: You can summon one of the following monsters. If you have means of talking to them you can tell them to attack an enemy or do something else.(This is were the Ring comes in handy.)
Ray of Frost: This is more attacking then anything. It deals 1d4 damage to who every you point it at.
Light: You must cast this on an object such as your Quarterstaff. The ligth last intell it's own light is matched by some other light.(If you were to walk in to a room with more light then your Light spell gives off then the Light spell would go away.)
Open/Close: This allows you to open or close anything you desier. But you cant open a chest that has a lock on it or a door that that has a bar on it. Their is a way around this though! EX: Thiers a locked chest in frount of you. You can't open the chest but you can open the lock the lift the chest lid with your hands.
Animate Rope: This allows you to make a rope do any thing that you want! Want it to tie it's self on to a wall so that you can scale it? Done!
Ok thats it for the basic's. Here's somthing that only you and me know,I the DM(DungenMaster know every thing that goes on in this game), Ta-Na has a bad secret she is hidding. She has curse that can not be removed. On every full Blue Moon she turns into a SLAAD(I'll give you info on this later). When she becomes a Slaad she is unable to control what she does. She knows but is unable to control it. She has heard of a cure but has no idea were to find it. Thats why she's joined up with SOB in hopes to find it. If you read back she gets a little depressed right before SOB gives her the ring. She was remembering that theirs a Blue Moon in two weeks.

Ok This is for RythmicBarbarian & Nobleman & SOB's Sister: Just some simple rules. I am DM and love to put my story ideas into this campain. My word is law. The number one law is that you can do any thing that you want in this game. If you want to use your dagger to open a door for what every reasion, so be it. I dont follow the rules to the line. I let you have as much leway as I can give you. The only thing that I wont stand is if you try to kill a fellow RPGer. This could summon a very bad monster I like to call the Walking Plage(Yes at some point you will come across this). I post when every some on eelse does so that I dont have to write one long one every time, which is most likely what is going to happen :p Another rule is that like in real life you write the story with every step that you take. Much like crossing the road in heavy triffic and walking down a hall way, you never know when the car or arrow will strick you. So I am not the only one writing the story, you are too.

I imagine CI as a russian female lookalike (dark hair, sharp and strong features). Her voice is like Jaheira's from BG series. She is tall and nimble like an atlete. She is not the smartest girl (7 int) but she is very decisive and resolute(16 wisdom). She tries to get everyone on a straight course on her own impetuous way(Lawfull good). You said we were all raised and lived in this town, so I presume I know who SoB is. :)

Thats what I would use for stats. If thoughs are cool with you then just tell me. After your happy with that I'll give you a list of spells to pick from once you give me the finaly word and I'll give you a list of spells that you can pick from.

Running into the Inn IC see's a large ulgy man standing around many items. She spots a scale mail. Running up to him she asks, "How much for the scale mail?" He does not even bother to agknolage her presence. He pays no intention to her what so every.

SOB: Hey man hows it going? Long time no see. I think I speak for us all when I say that we're all a little new at this. I've DM'ed alot before but nothing like this. So we're all far from pro's. Ok I'm trying to think of a good way to handly fighing so see the very end of this post to see how to fight.

101 FIGHTING
Ok here goes my atempt on explaning how to battle. If you cant understand something that I say please ask me! Ok here's how it goes.
1. If their is going to be a fight I will anouce it. EX: Monster attacking.
If you are attacking then you tell me that you are.
2. No matter what you guys get first attack unless the oppoint is suprise attacking you.
3. Now you say what weapon/spell your attacking with.
4. Then let the fight start!

Here's a example of how it will look:
DM: Evil monster jumps out of the trees and rushes to attack you.
PLAYER: I chose to use my long sword. And attack the monster.
DM: PLAYER you deal 6 point of damage to the monster. The monster attacks you PLAYER and deals 4 points to you.
PLAYER: I attack the monster again.
DM: PLAYER you deal 4 points of damage to the monster, the monster falls down dead. PLAYER you get 100XP and 50GP.

It will take a few post each with just a few words on it but thats how it'll be done.

Ok since your all grew up in the same town I've got to change something. SOB you've never been out side of the town, none of you have for that matter. I dont care how old you all are, you've never left the town. Ok SOB is your sister posting on your name or does she have her own name? If she has her own name mind telling us? Ok that does it for me now I'll post you all later :)

OoC: OoC means Out of Character. It's what you write when you want to post something that is not in the story. About the fighting, wouldn't it be better if we set a certain date and time to play on IRC. It'll be more organised.And I want to ask you, does feats, languages and class skills come into play?

OoC: OK mister DM, you're REALLY confusing me. Uh, I alredy said that Shadow saw the MAN, and they spoke, then they started fighting (I actually said "they had at it"). Lhydia looks down on to the ground...foot prints? Deep...clawed...Draconian foot prints! Lhydia follows the foot prints down and around many place's. Finaly she comes to a small house on the outer rim of the town. The foot prints lead into the house, it looks different from the other houses some how.

What do you do?

SOB: Hey man I know whats up with you sisters thing! It happened to me! SOB's sister, type in you pass word and name very carfully. I had this problem once. Also before you submit you reply copy and paste it to some other program so that you dont have to type it all back up again. I do that alot.
Ok SOB. I kinda backed it up a little so that I could get every one on the right time table. Tell your sister to keep at it!

OoC: OK I've decided on my stats. No more changes after this.

IC: Lhydia walks around the house, surveying the outside and the surrounding area, especially the ground. "The tracks seems to end here. This must be the house." says Lhydia to herself. She then walks to the front door. "A draconian eh? Better be ready for anything." Lhydia grips her sword and knocks on the door.

OoC: My character already has a long sword. To be fair to the other players, just subtract the cost of one normal longsword from the total GP I will get later from the draconian. Thanks!

RythmicBarbarian: As Lhydia knocks on the door is swings at her! She flys throguh the air and lands in a pile of mud. Two Dracionans run out. One is dressed in silver armor from head to toe. The other is a clok. The one in armor keeps running, while the one in the clok runs right at you! Though you are unhurt you are covered in mud, even the inside of your cloths are squishy with mud. "Eek!" Lhydia says as she feels the mud running over her body, then she see's the cloked draconion standing over her, he reaches down sudenly and grabs you, picks you off the ground and brings you to eye level to him. You reach for your sward only to find that its not on your belt, you see on the corrner of your eye that it's laying in the durt about 10 feet away. "You elfish!Do you know SOB?! Never mind, find him! Tell him that he is need in the city of Goth. Got that!? GOTH! Now run and tell him that!" He throws you again this time you land on top of a house, the house that the dracionan's just came out of. When you look up they are no where to be seen. "Damn." Lhydia says to her self, she wasn't ready for something like that.

OoC: This is a great story. I have to dissapoint you RythmicBarbarian, I can't play on certain days due to my work. And the charm of this is that the story is great and fun to read, and we have time to think about what's going to happen next. Very different from the "chatgames" I've watched around. To write "¤" I press SHIFT-4. Does it work? Anyway IC dropped the barkeep 5 goldpieces when she left the tavern:) and one to the begger, is it ok? SoB In real roleplaying it is pretty much easier to play :). There you are the actor and the DM is everything else. But that would take for ages in forum games. I think DRSW did the right thing, when he chose to play like we do now, with minor influence on what happenes. But I know it is hard to figure out what is crossing over to DM land and what is not :). But we will get the hang of it. I am sure. Anyway I can only support that you write any major posts in "Wordpad" before copying them here. It is really annoying to loose posts.

IC: "Uhmm, my fine man", CI smiles at the Salesman". She brushes her long dark hair back, and leans towards him. "You do sell stuff don't you." "and you do get happy about gold don't you?". "well, I am planning to make you very very happy, CI says and reveals her russian accent. She picks up the first handfull of goldcoins from her beltpouch and says "what would you suggest"....

Grrr, when I find find him..." Her voice trails off as she walks back to her house.

OoC: I do have a house, don't I DRSW? If I don't just describe the place where I go to get clothes and I'll edit my post later. And Nobleman, are you using a Denmark keyboard? People have different keyboards you know ;)

Ok, SOB give me some time! You know how some times you get mind blanks. Ya well I kinda had one of those this weekends. Not only that I was taken up at the mall yesterday. I have been tring to think of what is going to happen on the road. But finaly I have it. So be happy.

And thanks for clearing up the how many GP's you have. Its hard keeping every one in place so it's helpful if the players help too so thanks.

OoC: Every thing that I say has some deeper meaning then what you see.

RythmicBarbarian: Yes you do have a house. At the present moment feats are a given for every one. Languages, yes. If you know the list of languages then have fun. Pick no more then 5.

Lhydia stands out side her house. Her family has lived in it every since she could remember. Even before she was born this house has held her family. She opned the door, the smell of the worped wood filled her nose like it did every time she walked in. It was one of those wonderful smells that you could never tire of or forget. She took in a deep breath,"Home." It was a rather big house, for its age. The main room was where she was in now. In it was her bed in the far corner, a chest at the foot of the bed had her cloths in it. Across fom the bed was a round table and a fire place next to it. (To her left bed, right table.) Just ahead of her was a door way to the study. It housed her fathers small desk and book shelf. Be on that was the wash room. She had no desirer to duirty her fathers study that he built so she closed the door behind her. Striping herself of her clothes she walked bare to wash the mud from her toes.
After her wash she walked back to the main room, went to the trunk pulled out her new cloths that she is going to wear. Slips them on her body. OoC: You can go on with the story from here. Also the long sword that you have is a family airloom. That way you can start with it.

Durothil: Welcome! I'm very happy to tell you that you will be the last person to join at the number 5. And even greater is is that you have some XP with D&D. That makes my job a little less easier. Ok just a few things about this I'm the DM. You should read over some of the past post to get a feeling of what is going on and all. The only things that I need from you at this moment are to know your stats. Str. Dex. Con. Int. Wis. Cha. You have 500GP to start out with. In the game you'll have to buy your items. I'll tell you your HP once you have told me your stats. I also need to know class, race and sex. This is a story, I am ruler over most of it but I want the players to have an active role in it to. You are also writing the story just as much as I am so feel free to do what every you want in the game. Just try not to kill any one and nothing bad could come to you later on.

I thank you all for joining! It has been a fun page and a half so far, with only a few minor problems. My computer mostly. But besides all of that it as taken off very fast in the last few post and I hope to keep it coming as long as you guys keep playing. Because as we all know a DM is nothing with out players who like to play. I'm looking foward to the next few pages and hopful many more to come. With all of the posts that I have seen so far from all of you I know that this will be the campain of all campains!

Assuming that this confound machine is actually working, I would like to state that my characters name is no longer Ta-Na, but Lacena. It means Lioness. Cool, huh? Hi everyone. Its nice to finally meet you. DM, you said "She turns into a slaad..." I said "JIGGA-WHAT!?" Chris said that it is a person with the blood of a god in them. Sorta like Hercules. ok. I don't quite understand the rules, but I will work to the best of my abilities to figure it out. I don't know how to fight, and I happen to be wordy and discriptive. Sorry. I'm not adding onto the story till I'm certain this actually gets posted because the computers are screwy. :(. Adios Muchachos!

Lacena:Dont worry about fighting. We've taken care of that and elimated the "I post, you post, ect." Its good that you are wordy, so am I once I get into the game. We're all here to make a story. And very one has a part in it. Just aslong as you know that I'm the DM, DICTATING MASTER! No it's realy just Dungen Mater. If you read all the post under the one pointed at you then you'll get a feel I hope of how things are run.

SOB: OoC: Here you go finaly!
SOB holds his ax tight in his hand. Sweet starts to drip from his forhead. *Why did I every get my self in to this?* Thier is more bushes moving up ahead...FLOSH! An arrow flies from the bushes! SOB doges it with some effort but come up un scaved. A dark hooded gnome jumps from the bushes, runs at SOB with surprising quickness. SOB raises his ax in readness. The gnome pulls out a small dagger! He points it foward in hopes that his extended arm with give him an advantage in the battle. Once the gnome is with in distance SOB lets down the ax right on to the gnomes arm. "AAGGGGG!" cries the gnome. The ax has chopped off his arm! SOB pulls back, the gnome is on the ground now. His arm pumping blood from his body. He takes a few breath's then lays limp, dead. OoC: You can search the body or what every you want now.

Ooc: Hi guys. Guess what! I broke my wrist wednesday! Just thought I'd tell you all! Really quick, my sister says she'll try to type soon, but once again she's having time problems.
IC: Shadow, after relaxing a bit, let down his axe, and said "Oh, little bugger. Now why'd ya go an' make me do that? Well, serves you right. Corupt life leads to corupt ends, me old dad alus said. Well, no use in wasting a gnome's property." He shrugged, and checked the body for anything he could use.

I would rather wait till every one has all ready posted to do start this. But its been awile since I'v posted last. I relize that not every one can post every day, and some of us can post more then others. So I'm really incureging you all to post a little bit more then you do now. I think that the game will run more smothly that way. I encorage every one to start posting at least twice per week. That way I can manage things a little more smothly. And once Drivers Ed ends for me next week I'll be able to keep this campain following more smothly I think after awile. I would just wish that every one post up to two times a week. If you can thats ok, **** happens you know. So anyways I'd thought that I'd start up some new things with you all. If you have read any of RythmicBarbarian's posts you know that she knows what she is doing. I'm going to change a few things around here and thier and give you all some new things to work with. It will help.

Ok let start with spells since some of you have spells. First of all. You can learn any spell that you want in all the D&D games. You can get them of the internet if you want to too. I just need to know what they do and then I'll tell you if you can use them. Heres another thing. You only know what spells you have memerized. All the others you can pick them when you have learned then and then you can use them. Ok I think I made that clear enough. If not you can ask me.

Ok heres some thing else. If you've noticed RythmicBarbarian also has Feats. Heres how Feats work...every one has all of them. I'm not going to bother with them because it would just get even more complcated. Just like my spelling. Not only that but also Class/Cross-Class Skills are given to every one. Thanks RythmicBarbarian for making it out anyways. To input these two things into the game it would get very complactated and very hard to understand. I'm tring to keep this all as simple as I can. Belive me, I once ran a test game with friends to see how we could put the D&D rules line to line. Lets put it this way, walking became and breathing became as hard as combat so just think what combat was like. We ditched it very fast.

SOB cheaks the blood riden body of the dead gnome. He is careful to not get blood on his clothes so no odd questions would come up later. On the gnome he finds: a dagger, small bow and 5arrows, and a War Ax with some weird writing on it. He also finds 10gp.

Ok. For me it's late and I got to get up really eirly tomrow. So I'm going to stop here. Nobleman and RythmicBarbarian I'll get the next part of your post up on this very post as soon as I'm able to. Thanks for waiting. It wont be long now.

I don't think stats are the prime issues in DRSW's story. It is just roleplaying. I think it is awesome. Welcome onboards.

Hi all! Sorry I havn't been able to post for awile and it looks like I wont for at least two more days. It's erily in the moring now and I have to leave for school in a few minutes. I haven't been able to get near my computer during the afternoon. But I wake up eirly enough I'll post another one on turkey day moring. Intell then you could all just talk to each other and get to know every one! :)

Durothil: Thats what were doing. Each has a small part to write in the story. You post was very good and it will get better with time:) I have no problem in that. Just add a little more, like for ex: Durothil walks arond some more and spots CI talking to the shop keeper. Dont be afraid to write alot. Look at how much I write most times!

SOB: Lets clear a few thing up here. I know you play war hammer and it says that dwarves can read ruins. But you see in D&D ruins are a very very very rare thing to come by. Only the most oldest ad trained in the ruins can read and perform ruins and their spells. Ok jsut some clearing up. You've never been outside the town that your living in. You've grown up here all your life. And you vagly know the other players in the game world. Ok now dont panic! Heres a breff on what has happened since the begging on SOB:

~Meet the Draconian at the travern
~Talked awile to him, joined him to travel across the Draking Hills
~Stumbles across Ta-Na, now called something else but I cant remember, it's getting late)
~Ta-Na joins you party
~You start to head to Fort Wars
~You met up with a wicked gnome
~The gnome attacked you and then you killed him
~Buy killing him you now have your ax that you wanted
~You got a ruined ax but dont know what it say's
Thats where you stand. Your move. A hint of advice the temple monks will know what to do with your ax:) I hope that that clears up the smoke.

OoC: I think it will all work out later on SoB. The joy of forum games is that they can last forever. We are just getting started. No need to panic. :)

OC: Ok, sorry guys. Just a nervous breakdown if you know what I mean. Yesterday I played around with 16 cousins, at the same time, who are all between the ages of 6 months and 9 years, so I was a little overwhelmed, sorry. :Dazed: I'm the oldest boy in the fam, so all the little boys looked up tpo me and wanted to play with me, and the girls were like "bet cha can't catch me!"...fun yes, tiring yes. Ok, here goes:

IC: Shadow looks at the markings and thinks to himself, "These are surly runes, but what they do or say I can't tell. I'm sure the temple preist can help me. But...what to do what to do? Fort Wars is just over that hill, but do I have need to go to such a vulgar place? Well, I've ne'er been there so it might be alright. Well, I think the party will be waiting, so I had best return.Ah, decisions decisions." He gave one more grunt and reluctantly turned around, and started at a jog, so as to get there sooner. "what is a gnome doing with a beauty like this," he said aloud, looking at the axe. "It seems like some deranged controller of all gave it to me to make the journey easier."
By the next evening, he made it to town wirthout a hitch, and went straight to the bar to tell Kit he was back.

Once apone a time their was a dwarf named SOB who got drunk. He joined with a dragconian who was travling to a big city. Once he recovered from his hang over he set out and joined up with Ta-Na, now know as SOB's sister(what's her name again?). Anyways the party grows to have ArchAngle, Rhymic and Dertal(did I spell that right?) SOB went out late one night to get a great ax and didn't have to go far, he just killed a halfling. If I'm not misstaken ArchAngle is on his way to meet SOB and Rhymic is buying goods. Dertal has just gotten done in a match with two passing dragconian's who through her into the mud.

I'm pretty sure that's where every one left off. If theirs anything that needs corecting then tell me please. What else? Let me conslate my big dusty book...o yes! Theirs something that I think that you all should know to put you a little more on track. Just taking the Draconian acrross the Darking Hills is not the main quest. But it will be the town that that you will be travling to that you will discover the main quest. So I'm going to give you all a little bost. When you are ready to go just post "Lets Go." That will tell every one that you are ready to move on and the story will move on a little too. Ok well that's all I have to say for now. Happy Holidays! ~DM~

ic: Durothil continues to browse throught the shelves and seems very disinterested in any of the rusty weapons on display. He tsks and shakes his head slightly. He then sighs, cracks his knuckles and looks up and around the shop. He notices CI and walks over to him and nods in greeting. He then tries to spark up a conversation. "Rumor has it that you are venturing out of town with some draconian. Is this true?" As he says this his eyes roam over the shop before settleing on CI.

OoC: CI is a female :) human fighter, wannabe Cleric. Lawfull good.


IC: "Hello Durothil, yes I heard about a Draconian hiring people for a caravan. The clerics at the temple have confirmed that his intents seems pure and nonviolent. The sturdy scoundrel of our dwarven friend SoB has joined. So I will do so too. To keep an eye on things." CI smiles at Durothil. I will be honered if you would join us". "This merchant is more than fair enough". "He wares are acceptable for our rapid equipping for departure".

Ic: Sob jogs up to the tavern, goes in, gets a drink, andguzzles it. He then gets another, repeats, grabs one more, and goes to find his frinds in the bar.

Durothil bites his lip thoughtfully and nods at CI. Durothil then shrugs and looks over at the merchant, then back to CI. "Well, uh, is this Draconian paying us?" At this point, Durothil pats a pocket on his breeches. "I'm a little, uh, broke at the moment."

OoC, Durothil you get 500 gp to start off with.

IC; "My dear Durothil, I am sure you can round up a few coins if you look properly. I think the Draconian is waiting in the inn so we better hurry with the shopping. His wares are cheap and his quality is good."

ooc: Whoops, sorry.

ic: Durothil grins at CI and shrugs. "Can't blame a guy for trying to get some more coppers, eh?" Durothil then reaches into his pockets and feels around, then is answered by a little clink. Grinning at CI, Durothil approaches the merchant and smiles. "Watcha got for sale?"

ooc: Please forgive me if you gave a list of what the merchant has earlier. Otherwise, please let me know.

Durothil there's a list on page two of all the items you can buy. To every one, I'm having a very hard time getting to SP. This is the first time that I've been able to get the sit up in about a week or so. So if for some reasion you dont hear from me then please just be cool and I'll get here as soon as I can. ~DM~

After listening to what the merchant has to offer, Durothil grins and nods at the merchant. "I'll have a longbow, longsword, and a set of the leather armor." At this point, Durothil scratches his chin. "Hmmm, I will also take 4 of your Cure Light Wound potions, if you would be so kind." Durothil flashes the merchant a wry smile and waits for the man to tally it all up.

The merchant puts the items on the table in frount of him. "That come's to 350gp." He put's his hand out for pay. *Hint* Cheack the math ;)

Durothil raises an eyebrow at the merchant. "Hmmm. Either you are really stupid, my dear sir," at this point, Durothil narrows his eyes at the merchant and grins menacingly, "or you wish to lose your head." Durthil tilts his head and grins at the merchant while slamming down 300 gold commons on the counter. "That should cover it, correct?"

"Hmmm, does seem a little unfair, how about I drop it 50gp?"

IC: "And here my good merchant". CI puts down the remaining 10 GP on the desk. "please get my friend some arrows too, I fear they'll show usefull" CI gives Durothil a worrying glance. "Now off to the tavern?"

"Plessserr doing business with you." the merchant gathers his the few things that he has left and starts to pack as if in a hurry.

OoC: And while all that is happening...

IC: Lhydia waits outside the tavern, still looking for some sign of SoB.

OoC: DM!!!

As Lhydia stands out side the tavern the door opens, and out steps the tall's monster you have ever seen, the dracionan. Lhydia hears the him say to him self, "Where in the nine hells is SOB?! He sould have been here hours ago! ARG!"

Lhydia raises her eyebrow upon hearing that.

"Ah, so you too are looking for this SoB? What does he look like?"

She studies the person, paying special attention to his face.

"You are a draconian, aren't you? Are you the draconian who are looking for adventurers earlier? If so, I'm looking to join, and I demand some payment beforehand."

Ooc: Hi guys, I spose I did say it only breifly, but Sob has been in the bar wqaaiting for you all, but that's easily fixable. I'll just have him come tothe party, eh? The skills of a dwarf, he finds the parties, heehee.

Ic: Shadow then ddddecides his plan maust not have been made all that clear to his friends, and decides to go to the next place they should be. When he arrives, the greetings are made: "Durothil, my friend,how are you? Lhydia, long time no see. Crazy, how have you been these last weeks? Ah,yes, Kit, my good leader. How is the ale? Well, I suppose I should know, Iwas there waitingfor you all! Well, it's nothing. Now, shall we head back to the tavern to discuss our plans, or are we waitngfor something or someone?"

IC: "Well Hello, SoB, my beloved Scoundrel." "We are not waiting for anyone only equipping ourself". CI looks with anxiety at the merchant who pakcs his stuff in a hurry. "We'll come along SoB, whereever you walk we walk." CI makes a smile. "I don't want you to get into any trouble now."

Well it seem that every one is ready to get going and leave this little town of ours. So I'm happy to report that the game will soon get a bost with this post. The Draconian looks at the party before him: Durothil, Lhydia, SOB, CI, Ta-Na. He looks each one up and down. Then he goes back to SOB. He gives SOB a sour look, "You are late SOB. This party has been delaied long enough. Unfortantly because of your delay we must leave at once." SOB opens his mouth to say something but the the draconian puts his hand up. "Do not speek. Walk with me all of you our horse's are in the stable I will tell you as we walk their what you will be doing." They all start to walk. "My name is Kin. I was sopposed to take the Crow Gem to my master. I was attacked by two other dracionan's who I do not know. They ran off with the Crow Gem, the worst is apon us. As the tale goes...The Crow Gem is The Gem, All gems fall with it, Nothing can touch it, Execpt the ones with the iron skin, The Dracionan's, The guard's of the Holy Hoop's, Only can they move such a gem, If ever moved from Golem's Hand's, He shall come alive, But fall to the voice of the Destrachan, Apon his fall, two forces will rise, Demon's and Devil's, Rise to life they will, Battle in the Night, The world will then fall...Thats how it goes. I'm not sure what the last part means but the first part I do know of." You all arive at the stables. "Their are the horse's. Climb up now all of you, I will run beside you for it is faster."

IC: Crazy Ivana Looks at Lhydia while they listen to the draconian's tale. She grins in the secret and whispers. "This is some tale.". She then mounts her horse wondering if SoB will be mad that he was unfairly judged as the one beeing late. She turns towards the Draconian. "How about food and water?"

Lhydia just nods her head, concentrating on the draconian. "Gems... Hmph, why care for material posessions while the real gem is in the sky." Lhydia thought out loud. She looks to the sky and her eye is transfixed to the moon. "Sigh, very well. If half what you said is true, we shall better recover this gem, less it be used for evil." Lhydia unsheaths her sword, and thrusts it towards the hard ground. "Like I said," she pauses as she examines the other adventurers, "I demand payment beforehand. I am without equipment, save my sword. I need money to buy provisions and perhaps some other things."

Kin looks at Lhydia. "If you demand payment then here." He gives every one a bag. "It cantains 100gp each. That sould hold you till I can get the rest for my master." He turns to CI on her horse, "Food and water are the least of my worries but yes you will get some. If we go to a inn or have to pay for something then I'll pay for it. Do not worry." He turns to face Lhydia, "I have something for you." Out of his bag Kin pulls out a suite of armor. "This belonged to the Great Llama. He was one of me most trusted friends back when I first started to travle on my own. This armor has a spell on it to disspell and one you touch and has some sort of spell that keeps most spells from hurting you. Llama would have been happy to see it go to such a person as you. He would not go anywere unless paid also." Kin holds out the armor to Lhydia. Does she accept?

Ooc: Ok,Ok,DM, I get it, I don't post enough. Very funny with the horses,a nice trick to play on a good surdy dwarf who doesn't really want to leavethe ground! haha

IC: Shadow has already been back to the store, buying a hand crossbow for 100gp, and two cure light wounds for 100gp, therefore paying the inn keep 200 gp's. He now, after being insulted by a lizard walker, issomewhat infuriated,tryingto keep his composure in frontofhis longtime friends whom justsaw him be hit verbally. "If Iknew any better, sir kin," he said with a small snarl,nothing to worry about, "I'd say I wasn't too late and that some of this group has been doing things that respectfully would not have permitted us from leaving any way." Now, after realizing that he was expected to RIDE A HORSE (For Grungi's sake)he was trully mad. "How do you expect me to ride a horse? I am a dwarf! In the name of my ancestors I will not ride on one of these beasts! I expect you shall be a bit more respectful to a dwarf's nature, sir, or a dwarf's nature will not be a very nice one! I shall jog alongside you all, unless any of you can think of a better way for me to travel...that does not include coming more than two axe shafts above the ground!"

Ooc: By the way, that was not a subliminal message, DM, that I am pissed. I thought that it was kinda funny thatyou expected a dwarf toride a horse. Nice trick!

Lhydia smiles as she takes the armour in her hand. "'Tis certainly a fine piece of work. I am almost sorry I have to decline," she says as she hands the armour back to Kin, "I am a fighter learned in the arcane arts, and unless you have a robe or an armour forged by elves, I shall go on with that is on my skin.". She glances at SoB, noting his potions, "And some potions will be appreciated too... or w
