View Full Version : Lonelywood
Kelvon Shadowmane Sat, 5th Feb '05, 12:15pm Rholmar arrives back in Lonelywood, after four hours of hunting, with only a bloody rabbit in his hand. He walks to his small house, opens the frozen door and throws the rabbit on a table covered with dry blood. He then stairs at the fireplace for a few secons and says: "Damn this wet wood! The fire's gone out again! I reckon it happened more than an hour ago, 'cause it's so cold in here... It'll take a few more hours for the room to get warm again." So, he lights the fire again, after a few atempts and then heads out to the Whistling Gallows Inn, in the middle of the village.
As he walks in, he sees Kieran Nye, the innkeeper. He heads towards the bar and takes a seat. After checking his pockets, he find a few gold pieces: "Good day to ye, Kieran. I'll have a cup of Cormyran Brandy." The Innkeeper gives him the glass, and Rholmar slowly starts drinking from it.
Kieran then asks: "So then, Rholmar, what have ye been doin' today?"
Rholmar takes another mouth of brandy, swallows it and says: "Well, as I see it, today I didn't have too much of Tymora's grace, 'cause I only caught a rabbit after four hours of hunting. Strangely, they just seem to dissapear..."
Kieran: So is that one rabbit gonna hold yer stomach?
Rholmar: I guess it's gonna hold untill I manage to catch, I mean find another one.
Kieran: And ye say they've just started dissapearing? How's that?
Rholmar: I really don't see any reason for the dissapearances, but from what I saw, eaven the bears and the wolves have started to head south...
Kieran: Who knows what the nine hells is the matter with them. But I'm tellin' ye, something foul's about to happen. I can feel it in my gutter.
Rholmar: Your starting again, Kieran... Don't forget where you live, In Lonelywood, not in Neverwinter.
Kieran: And what's that suppose' to mean? Ye think if I came from Neverwinter, I didn't get used to life in Lonelywood?
Rholmar: Come on, Kieran... I was just kiddin'!
Kieran: Ya, well that wasn't a good joke...
After he stops lauthing, Rholmar continues to drink from his cup of brandy.

Lantus Mon, 7th Feb '05, 6:28am Lantus sighed. Another day and Lonelywood had had no visitors. No customers. All he could do was drink his mead and stare out into the snow. It was a bit of a pain making all his mead and having no one to share with. Only a few people lived in the town, and even less visited. And, of course, he was still alone. Out there somewhere was the wife he had always looked for. She had never arrived. And still Lantus waited. Suddenly there was a loud, single bang on his door.
“What?” he thought.
The old man waddled across his small house to the front door. He pulled the locks away and opened the wooden door a little. The rest was done for him as a gust of wind blew the man to his feet, and the door open. But there was no one there.
Kelvon Shadowmane Mon, 7th Feb '05, 7:23pm Rholmar walked outside the inn and realised just how cold it was.
"Should I have another drink?" he thought.
"No... no. I can't spend the whole day in the inn. I reckon Kieran had enouth of me. Maybe I'll spend some time by the lake..." And he headed for the bridge crossing a tiny potions of Lake Dinashare.
As he was watching the beatiful waves, he remembered having some tobacco in his pouch. And he was right, but it was all wet...
"Oh, blast it! Now what am going to do? It's so cold outside, and my house hasn't had enouth time to warm up. Wait a minute! I wonder how's Lantus doing. I think I'll give him a visit..."
And he headed for Lantus the Brewer's house. He was almost frozen stiff when he reached the door and knocked.
SleepleSS Mon, 7th Feb '05, 10:10pm "I traveled all around the world but never been in a place is small as Lonelywood, hopefully I can make some money here..." Yümvo thought when he entered the small village. "Damn it's really cold here I wish I had spent my last money on a coat instead of ale!"
"Where to go what to do..." Then he sa a man knocking on a door. "I wonder who that is" Yümvo mumbeld, "but more importand who lives in the house?"
"This is like the mouse on the mountain of cheese, but when the orc came the ice had melted!" Yümvo laughed about his own joke wile he was watching from a distance waiting for things to happen.
Steeze Tue, 8th Feb '05, 6:36am Jerek shuffled in the front door with a sigh. Taking of his coat he sat down at the table, across from his brother who was sipping from a large, steaming mug, while inspecting a trap.
"Hope you caught something Froidoc, only got a couple of silver today, and that was from a drunk who thought I was hilarious when I kept dropping my flute."
Froidoc looked up from the trap with amusment.
"Don't worry, we'll eat well enough tonight."
As Jerek started complaining about some other muscisian getting all the money, just because he chose better spots to perform, Froidoc sat back taking a long sip from his mug pretending to be listening to his brothers feeble complaints...
When Jerek had finished, Froidoc said. "You know Jerek, it is really weird, i'm coming across very few animals lately, if this keeps up you might have to earn s ome money for once." Froidoc finished with a wink.

Lantus Tue, 8th Feb '05, 10:36am Lantus looked up and saw his friend. Regaining his footing, he smiles at Rholmar.
“Ello’! Welcome, welcome.” He leads Rholmar into the main living room.
“And how are ye today? Cold?” Obviously he had had too much to drink. Lantus chuckled, grabbing another few meads and handing one to his guest.
Kelvon Shadowmane Tue, 8th Feb '05, 3:39pm Rholmar happily accepted the mead. But before he started to drink from it, he took his leather cloak off and put it on a chair, next to Lantus' fireplace.
"Thanks for the mead, Lantus. I hope ye don't mind me putting my cloak here, it's very wet. I think I drank too much and had a little snooze by the lake."
After talking a few unsignificant details, Rholmar decided to tell Lantus about:
"Ye know, it's really strange, but most of the animals are starting to dissapear. I mean, as in running south, as if something malicious was comming from the north. Ol' Kieran thinks something evil is behind these animals' actions, but I'm not shure if I believe him. What do you reckon it is?"
Lantus Wed, 9th Feb '05, 8:17am Lantus simply snorted.
"Bah! Nonsense if i ever heard it! That ****head Kieran wouldn't know evil if he saw it! Now as for me, i have met dragons and giants..." Teh old brewer was obviously drunk as he trailed off. He sat stupidly silent for a moment, then looked up at his guest. He smiled.
"Hello!"
Kelvon Shadowmane Wed, 9th Feb '05, 5:26pm Rholmar ignored the "Hello!".
"Yah, yah, you must be right..."
He drank a bit more mead, then he took his cloak on and left:
"Thank ye for the mead Lantus. But I think you need a little rest... I'll be seein' ya!"
As he tried to open the door, he couldn't quite hit the door knob. He was drunk as well. He finally opened the door. Looking far away, he saw a strange person standing there and looking towards him. But he was so drunk that he collapsed in the snow.
"I'm soooo sleepy"

Lord Garak Wed, 9th Feb '05, 8:54pm Sarkin was really angry when came in town. Rholmar said that the animals were going away. Yeah right, he thought.
He had only been in the woods for an hour when a wolf attacked him. He killed the wolf easily enough but he was still angry. Especially because he heard more wolfs howling, which meant that the town might be attacked by a pack any time.
As he entered the town he noticed two things. The first one was Rholmar falling flat on his face and the second was some stranger. Suddenly all his anger left him. Rholmar was wrong about the wolfs leaving but he was only human, he had the right to make mystakes.
Sarkin shook his head, he was way to tolerant. Oh well , he thought, might as well see what this guy wants .
"Hey you" he shouted toward the stranger" what buisness do you have in this quiet little place?"
SleepleSS Thu, 10th Feb '05, 3:10pm Yümvo watched the drunk men coming out of the house and falling in the snow. For some moment there was doubt in his mind what should he do?
Then he hearth a voice calling out to him, he looked in it's direction and said: "I'm a traveling jester!" "My name is Yümvo, I could play a song for you for some gold and shelter for the night!"
Lord Garak Thu, 10th Feb '05, 8:49pm Sarkin almost laughed. A traveling jester in this place ? Boy did this guy chose the wrong town for making money .
"Right now I don't have time but you're welcome to stay at the inn. Or if you'r broke find Herak, the half-orc, and tell him Sarkin sent you. Tell him to find you a place to sleep."
Sarkin walked over to Rholmar and hauled him over his shoulder like a sack of potatos. Then he headed towards Rholmars house.
Once inside he dumped Rholmar on his bed and left.
As he came out of the house Sarkin saw Zaera, the longlegged redhead with the perfect body, head toward Lantu's house. Nothing new there, everyone in Lonelywood went there at one point or another.
I think I'll join her, thought Sarkin while his eyes were fixed on Zaera's shapely thighs.
Steeze Fri, 11th Feb '05, 6:36am Jerek and Froidoc sat down on the bridge crossing the small lake at the bottom of the town, their legs dangling over the side. Each of them with a tankard of Lantus' best ale in one hand and a pipe filled with their own home grown leaves.
Lantus Fri, 11th Feb '05, 6:55am Lantus shook his head. What was that? Another day of being drunk, he thought. Emptying his mead and grabbing a bear skin cloak, he decided to find the townspeople and tell them of his decision. Exiting the hut, he saw Jerek and Froidoc down by the lake, and Sarkin and Zaera approaching his house. Now was the time.
“Jerek! Jerek!” His drunken voice was carried by the wind down to the lake.
“Come here a moment…”
Kelvon Shadowmane Fri, 11th Feb '05, 7:27am Rholmar suddently woke up and said:
"Where in the nine hells am I???... oh, home...ok."
He then got out of bed and saw the open door:
"Now who in Auril's name left the door open? Who in whoever's name came in here?"
As he went to close the door, he saw Jerek and Froidoc by the bridge, Sarkin following Zaera and Lantus yelling..."
He decided to take his (obviosly wet) cloak on and walk after the bunch.
Lantus Fri, 11th Feb '05, 8:16am Lantus noticed that he now had five listeners. It was a large number considering the small number of people who actually lived in Lonelywood. He began.
“My friends. I know I have lived among you all for a long time, and our friendships have grown quite a lot. However, tonight is my last night in tiny town for tomorrow I take my leave. I am heading back to Baldur’s Gate, the city of my birth, to find what is left of my family. I hope everyone understands.”
Steeze Fri, 11th Feb '05, 9:09am Jerek turned as he heard his name.
"Stay here, i'll be right back." said Jerek to his brother, Froidoc replied with a small nod.
Draining his tankard, Jerek stood and ran towards Lantus.
Lantus having finished speaking, there was silence around him. It was a huge shock, Jerek couldn't believe it, Lantus had been in this town longer than anyone he knew personally and might well be his best friend after Froidoc.
"You can't leave Lantus," said Jerek mock sadly, "where are we going to get how beer from?" He finished, breaking the silence.
SleepleSS Fri, 11th Feb '05, 11:09am "Leaving is just another way of saying: I love you!" Yümvo sayd wile he walked towards the crowd. "It only hurts more!" "Well people that joke was for free!" "I'm Yümvo the traveling Jester, ad it looks like you could use some entertainment around here.".
Then Yümvo took at his mandoline and starts to play a song... badly.
Kelvon Shadowmane Sun, 13th Feb '05, 11:08am Rholmar just arrived in time to hear Lantus' declaration of departure.
"Well then Lantus, eaven though I'd rather have ye around, I can't stop ye from leavin'..."
Then he stared towards Yumvo:
"Please stop playin' yer mandoline, sir. We'd rather enjoy the silence.
Lord Garak Sun, 13th Feb '05, 1:50pm Sarkin was speechless. Lantus was leaving? He couldn't belive it. He was still staring without seeing anything when he heard something that could be described as music, if you're a drunk orc with no taste.
Then he heard Rholmar tell someone to stop it with the music.
"I can't belive Lantus is leaving." said Zaera.
Sarkin just looked at her and coudn't decide what to do. Try and convince Lantus not to go or tell Zaera he loved her before she decided to go as well. She never mentioned leaving but right now Sarkin could belive just about anything.
Kelvon Shadowmane Sun, 13th Feb '05, 6:39pm Rholmar didn't wait for the half-elf to stop his music and he said:
"Lantus, seein' as no one wants ye to leave, I guess I'll might as well ask ye: Are ye commin' back?"
Lantus Mon, 14th Feb '05, 6:48am Lantus looked at the small crowd that had formed around him.
"My friend. I will not be returnin', sadly. I am going home and staying there. Hoping to get a business happening, make my life into something." He sighed.
"I am going to miss this lovely village, and hope to meet ye' all again. The only thing i have to say is this:..." Lantus began to speak again, but paused, his breath escaping him. Clutching his chest, the fat man fell to the ground. A large pool of blood had formed on his back, staining his clothes. Behind him was a beast of some kind. It was something never seen before by any of the villagers. On it's head was a set of horns almost two foot long each. It held a long, curved sword that was now dripping with blood. Lantus' blood. The beast had a red scale-like-hide running all over it's body. And with a roar, it charged at the crowd of Villagers.
SleepleSS Mon, 14th Feb '05, 12:18pm Yümvo couldn't believe the things that had just happened. "What kind of town is this?" He yelled wile he put away his mandoline.
"Well I bet this must make a great song!"
Kelvon Shadowmane Thu, 17th Feb '05, 10:55am Astonished by what just happened, Rholmar barely managed to dodge the beast's charge. While the beast was heading for the other part of the crowd, Rholmar took out his longbow and shot an arrow right in the beast's back... but the arrow broke as it hit it's red scale-like-hide... The beast stopped, turned around, roared louder than the first time and charged towards Rholmar. Rholmar quickly thought:
"I reckon this creature's actions can be dictated by my arrows..."
But the next second the beast hit Rholmar with it's horns and knocked him to the ground, his longbow falling several feet away from him.
Lantus Fri, 18th Feb '05, 5:49am Lantus watched the whole ordeal from his place in the snow, the pain in his upper-back intense. We watched as Rholmar fired his missile, how it had not affected the beast, and how the brave man was knocked down to the ground.
Lord Garak Fri, 18th Feb '05, 10:28pm "Go get the others!" Sarkin shouted to Zaera and she went off imediatly.
Sarkin truned around just in time to see Rholmar get knocked down. Sarkin drew his long sword and attaced.
When saw Lantus go down he felt a burning rage, as if all the fires in the Nine Hells had invaded him, a raging inferno of hate and a single thought and desire come over him. The desire to KILL. He wanted that creatures blood to run free on the soil and he wanted it to suffer every second of the slow death he had in mind. His thoughts were so dark that even Bhaal would have been scared by them.
As he got close to it the creature turned and managed to draw first blood. Sarkin took a step back and looked at his left arm. It was cut from shoulder to wrist and was bleeding like hell. But he didn't feel any pain, any panic, anything. Except the inferno growing in his chest.
Ignoring the wound he attacked again. This time he ducked under the creatures swing and shoved his longsword into its stomach. The creature gave a mighty roar and threw Sarkin away from it. It's was bleeding badly but that was not enogh to stop it. It charged toward Sarkin, preparing to split him in two.
Sarkin just stood his ground, his sword ready to block the oncoming onslaught and then to draw blood again. The creatures angry roar was machted by the murder in his eyes. The look on Sarkins face promised only one thing. A brutal and bloody death.
SleepleSS Sat, 19th Feb '05, 9:26pm Yümvo took his staf in hand and hits the monster hard on the head. It stands still for a moment but then turns round and looks furius at the Jester.
Yümvo takes his flute out of his backpack and starts to play a stranfe melody. the beast stops moving and keeps staring at the Jester.
"Quick finish it!" Yümvo shouts, "this won't work for long!" Then he continoes his song before the beast can attack him.
Kelvon Shadowmane Sun, 20th Feb '05, 4:36am Rholmar barely managed to crawl to his longbow and pick it up. From a crouched position, he then concentrated on aiming for the beast's heart. After a few seconds, he fired the arrow. It missed the heart by about one foot... just perfect... it hit the beast in it's right eye, going all the way through it's skull. The beast collapsed in the snow, leaving a puddle of blood.
Lantus Sun, 20th Feb '05, 8:12am Lantus watched as the beast fell. How had it known? He breathed out a long breathe as he rolled onto his back. The man's wound was smouthered by the cold snow. He hoped it would help the healing, even if it was minor. Lantus just laid there, ahppy the beast was gone. But there would be more. He had to warn them. He had to...
The next thing he saw was darkness, and nothing more...
Lord Garak Sun, 20th Feb '05, 2:17pm Sarkin smiled as he saw the best die. Then the raging inferno of hate went away and he was assaulted by an intense pain. He dropped to the ground screaming as the pain in his wounded left arm hit him.
SleepleSS Mon, 21st Feb '05, 3:06pm "The beast is dead, the beast is dead! Now I pee on it's severed head!" Yümvo chanted with a smile.
"I came to this little cold town,
A nasty beast came, but we brought him down!
Lantus is lying, dying in the snow,
But people at least it was a great show!
The beast is dead, the beast is dead!
Now I pee on it's severed head!"
"Hey Lantus, stand up you know?
It's way to cold to be lying in the snow!
We are great fighters but Lantus sucks
I think he should go and practise on ducks!
But at least the beast is dead,
Now I pee on it's severed head!"
"Sarkin, Rholmar and I did stop the beast
And on it’s intestines we feast!
Sarkin’s arm hurts and Lantus is down
Blood did flew in this little down!
The beast is dead, the beast is dead!
Now I pee on it's severed head!"
"Sarkin is great with sword in hand
while I play songs that enchant
Rholmar is great with his mighty bow
while Lantus was playing in the snow
The beast is dead, the beast is dead!
Now I pee on it's severed head!"
"We are the heroes real and true
No monster can kill me or you
eccept maybe Lantus lying here in the snow
I think he is feeling kinda low
But anyway the beast is dead,
Now I pee on it's severed head!"

Kelvon Shadowmane Mon, 21st Feb '05, 11:17pm Rholmar stood up and couldn't believe what just happened, he actually killed the beast!
"Fer Ilmater's name, Sarkin! Go get some help, ye may be wounded, but ye could at least go get help from yer militia men! Make haste, while I see if Lantus is still alive."
As he walked towards Lantus, he just couldn't not tell Yumvo to:
"Shut yer blasted mouth, or I'll be the one peeing on YER severed head!"
He then dragged Lantus in his house and put him in bed, on his back. He ran outside and yelled:
"Do any of ye people have any healin' skills?"
Steeze Tue, 22nd Feb '05, 6:33am The whole time Jerek had hidden in the snow, now, that the beast was dead, he came out into the open, lighting a pipe as he went. Froidoc was there aswell, Jerek wasn't sure when he had arrived. Jerek heard Rholmar's request, just as his brother said,
"Go get my special herbs."
Froidoc then ran off towards Rholmar.
Kelvon Shadowmane Tue, 22nd Feb '05, 3:11pm "Tis' good tah see that someone can be of some assistance around 'ere! Well Froidoc, go see what can be done 'bout Lantus..."
Lord Garak Wed, 23rd Feb '05, 8:58pm Just as Sarkin was getting back on his feet, the rest of the militia arrived.
"Check the area around the town in case there are more of this things."
They did as they were told while Sarkin entered Lantus' house. He was in need of some healing, he lost alot of blood and was begining to feel weird. He wondered if there was any poison on the blade that cut him.
SleepleSS Thu, 24th Feb '05, 11:08am Yümvo smiled and said: "Actions of heroism always get better in a song." "And this song will put Lonlywood on the map!".
Then he looked at Sarkin. "Are you allright kid?" "You don't look that good, better talk to that healer, what was his name again?".
"Froidoc master of herbs and healing
Gives the people in town a good feeling
Saving Lantus and look at Sarkin's arm
even in the snow it makes me feel warm!"
"Now that sucked..."
Lantus Fri, 25th Feb '05, 6:19am Lantus awoke slowly, as if he was drugged. his entire body ached, but he knew he had to warn them. Around the bed were a few familiar faces.
"More... more are going to co..." His warning was cut of by the osunds of battle outside. The militia!
Kelvon Shadowmane Fri, 25th Feb '05, 3:37pm "For Ilmater's name! Can I get a healer in here! Lantus is unconcious and Sarkin's bleedin' like hell!"
Then he heard the noises outside! He headed for the door...
Lord Garak Fri, 25th Feb '05, 9:27pm Sarkin was begging to feel very very weird. His vision started to blur but he was to stuborn to fall to the ground.
Then he heard Rholmar's voice come from far away. He couldn't make out the words. Just as he was opening his mouth to say something he heard the sounds of battle coming from outside. He saw Rholmar rush outside.
Fear for Zaera life gave him new strengh and he drew his sword. He stumbled toward the door. He knew that the hideous wound that ran the lenght of his arm had managed to bleed him dry. Or almost dry.
Not caring to much about that he he continued to stumble forward until he got outside. Where he saw more creatures.
Steeze Sat, 26th Feb '05, 4:37am Jerek returned quickly with the herbs, he handed them over to Froidoc just as the battle started. Taking up his bow, Jerek ran outside. Froidoc set about working on Lantus, he boiled a small pot of water over the fire, crumbling some herbs into it. As it boiled, he started to clean the wound, with water and a cloth. The water had boiled, pouring some into a cup he set it aside to cool, gathering a handful of the herbs, Froidoc walked over to Lantus. He crushed the herbs in his hand before laying the leaves in a strip of cloth, then he used the cloth to bandage the wound. It was all he could do, Lantus should live, but could do with a proper healer. The cup of water and crushed herbs went down Lantus' throat.
When Jerek emerged from the house it wasn't to bad, only a few of the creatures. He set an arrow to his string and loosed, it reflected off the hard scales just as he thought it would. Jerek loosed another, going for the eye, he got lucky, the arrow plunging straight into the creatures eye, blinding it.
SleepleSS Sun, 27th Feb '05, 12:45pm Yümvo played in his flute stopping the beasts so that others could kill them, but he didn't know how long that would work.
He was a lousy fighter so his magical instruments were all he had to help this town.
"If I live to tell the tale, Lonelywood shall shine in another song!"He screamt.
Lord Garak Sun, 27th Feb '05, 1:14pm Sarkin could barely stand on his feet. He spotted Zaera and headed toward her. But before he could take more than a few steps something hit him in the back and he fell to the ground. Then everything whent black.
Kelvon Shadowmane Sun, 27th Feb '05, 10:38pm As Rholmar saw the cratures outside, he also saw Sarkin beeing hit by one them. Zaera ran towards him and managed to stab the creature in the chest with her sword, saving Sarkin's life. Zaera started dragging Sarkin from the battle.
Rholmar decided to join the fight by trying to hit eyes with arrows.

Steeze Mon, 28th Feb '05, 6:29am Jerek, to involved in his aim to notice much except what he was looking at, jumped out of his skin when he heard a noise nex to him. He turned and saw a monster about to gut him, he threw his hands up to protect himself, suddenly a red light flared. He dropped his hands, the beast was lying in a smouldering heap, dead. Grinning, he turned to face the others, he waved his hand, nothing happened, he tried again, nothing, again with some magic words, nothing. Grumbling he knocked his bow again, he loosed the arrow, half hoping something might happen again, nothing, the arrow simply reflected off some scales. Sighing, he fumbled for another arrow.
SleepleSS Mon, 28th Feb '05, 10:26am "Zaera, get that pupy out of here and then come back!" "We need you to kill this creatures!" Yümvo shouted.
"I'm so angry of those people who platy with snow during battles!" He mumbeld. In a rush he took out a dagger and trew it in the direction of one of the beasts. To his own surprise he hit it in the eye and the beast felt lifeless to the ground.
"Jerek, How many of this basters are left?"
Kelvon Shadowmane Tue, 1st Mar '05, 9:48am Rholmar keeps killing 'creatures'.
SleepleSS Wed, 2nd Mar '05, 10:32pm "Hack and Slash blade and bow
Slaying creatures in a row
kill for live since we suck in love
until we finally see the smile of the dove
Bringer of pease bringer of an end
Untill then we fight and we stand!"
Kelvon Shadowmane Thu, 3rd Mar '05, 11:05am As Rholmar's and Jerek's arrows flew trough the air, they finnaly managed to kill the last of the creatures.
"What in the Nine Hells is going on around here? What the hell are these things and what are they doing HERE?"
Rholmar was preety pissed off...
SleepleSS Mon, 7th Mar '05, 1:14pm "Now that was fun!" Yümvo said with a sarcastic smile on his face.
"Did anybody heal that snow puppy yet?" "Maybe he knows more, the first creature came for him, wasn't it?"
Kelvon Shadowmane Mon, 7th Mar '05, 7:24pm Rholmar ran to his house, opened the door, ran to his table and pushed it out of the way. Underneath was a chest. In this chest were some things that he collected during his adventuring years. But it was locked.
"For Baator's name! Where the hells was that cursed key?"
Not having the pacience to search for the key, he took out his shortsword and smashed the lock to pieces. Inside he found all kinds of doohickeys, but inside was also a potion. He opened it and tasted it. From his experience he realised it was a Potion of Cure Critical Wounds. How lucky.
He ran back to Lantus' house. He checked his hartbeat. it was still there. He poured the potion down Lantus' neck. Then he waited...
Lantus Sun, 13th Mar '05, 1:17am Lantus shook his head. He was alive! He could have shouted out in joy. But no, it wasn’t all good. The beasts were still the matter. Lantus had to tell his story. But first he had to find it. Find the necklace.
“Has anyone… anyone see my necklace with… w-with the blue stone upon it?” He choked out. He had to find it.
Kelvon Shadowmane Sun, 13th Mar '05, 7:30pm "I remember ye havin' it on yer neck before the beasts atacked... but I've not seen it since. But how's a necklace gonna help us against these... things?"
Then Rholmar headed towards Yumvo:
"Hey, half-elf? Did ye by any chance steal a necklace with a blue stone on it?"
SleepleSS Sun, 13th Mar '05, 8:03pm "Steal?" Yümvo replied. "I do not steal!" "I helped you fighting those creatures and now you say I'm stealing?"
At that moment Froidoc entered the room holding the necklace. "I found this in the snow!" he said.
Kelvon Shadowmane Mon, 14th Mar '05, 6:05pm "How wonderfull! But how's this suppose' to help us?"
Rholmar then walked towards Lantus, who was laying in his bed, and said:
"Hey Lantus, Froidoc found..." And the next second he triped on a jar of mead and bashed his head on a chair, falling unconcious.
Steeze Tue, 15th Mar '05, 5:57am Froidoc watched as Rholmar fell, shaking his head.
"someone get him off the floor."
Froidoc took the necklace, placing it Lantus' hand. "So, hows this s'posed to help us?"
Kelvon Shadowmane Tue, 15th Mar '05, 7:28pm As Rholmar was unconcious he had a strange dream:
He was in the middle of an endless, desertous field, surrounded by hundreds, maybe thousands of strange and ugly creatures. Some of them looked like the ones that came to Lonelywood. he tried to move, but he couldn't. All the creatures were just staring at him, with an evil look on they're faces.
Sudently he woke up, with an immense head ache.
"Tymora's grace! I must go to Targos!" He got up and said:
"I'll be in me house if ye need anything'. I'll be leavin' in a few hours."
Lantus Sun, 20th Mar '05, 1:58am Lantus sat up on his bed.
"Targos? Why? When? Why?" It was the strangest thing he had ever heard. Why would Pholmar suddenly have to go to Tagos?
"I don't understand."
Kelvon Shadowmane Mon, 21st Mar '05, 11:09am Rholmar came out of his house in a few minutes, heading to the Inn.
"Hey there Kieran"
"Hello there Rholmar, so any info about the beasts"
"Yah, well, I reckon I had a vision..."
"A vision?"
"I can't tell ye what it was, all I can tell ye is that I have to go to Targos and find an old friend."
"Well Targos isn't all that far away... It's only on the other side of Lac Dinashare..."
"Yah, I know it's far away, but I should be there in a couple of days."
"Allright, then. Anythin' you want me to do 'round 'ere?"
"Yes, there is. I want ye to see if ye can find anythin' 'round the village. Talk to Lantus and the others, see if they know anythin' 'bout these beasts. Lantus had a some strange necklace. He said there's somethin' 'bout it. Oh, an' keep a sharp eye fer that Half-Elf, Yumvo... He seemed rather odd..."
Then Rholmar headed to the others. Sarkin was on the ground; Lantus was in his bed; Yumvo, Jerek and Froidoc were on they're feet. They were all listening.
"I'll soon be leavin' fer Targos. I have to speak to an ol' friend. I'll be back in no more than a tenday. Kieran'll tell ye all what to do while I'll be in Targos. Take care, all."
SleepleSS Tue, 22nd Mar '05, 10:42am "Yo snowpuppy!" Yümvo says to Lantus. "What's going on here?" "Where is Rholmar going?"
*At that moment Rholmar enters the room*
Yümvo listens to HIM and says: "Targos? Where is that?" "Shall I go with you?"
Kelvon Shadowmane Wed, 23rd Mar '05, 11:59am "Targos' on the other side of Lac Dinashare. It's 'bout a three days journey away. I should be back in a tenday. I don't know if it'd be wise fer me to take someone with me. But, if ye think ye can handle yerself, ye're wecome to join me." Rholmar said with a weary look on his face.
"But I must warn ye. It is not goin' to be a safe journey. Ye'd best be prepared to fight..."
SleepleSS Wed, 23rd Mar '05, 1:05pm "I can fight, a bit" Yümvo replied. "And I have the magic flute, remember?". "I better think you take someone with you, if it is as dangerous as you say it is!".
Then he looks at the others and says: "Can someone lent me a Scimitar?"
Kelvon Shadowmane Mon, 28th Mar '05, 9:20am "I reckon I have one in me cabin" Rholmar replied.
He ran to his cabin, took the scimitar and returned:
"Here ye go, Yumvo. The should be sufficient, eh?"
Then Rholmar talked to Kieran the Innkeeper who just walked outside of the inn.
"Kieran, me friend. Please take care of the village while I go to Targos with Yumvo. Try to see if Lantus knows anythin' 'bout the creatures. We need to stop these things, trust me."
Then he turned to Yumvo:
"Well, are you ready to leave?"
SleepleSS Thu, 7th Apr '05, 9:44pm Yümvo looked at the blade and then at Rholmar.
"I'm as ready as this blade is sharp!" He replied.
