Alright, you know the dream where you have to give up a stat point to proceed? Is the loss permanent, or do you get it back at some point?

View Full Version : *Spoiler* Dreams and stats Fudashi Fri, 11th Jan '02, 5:39am Alright, you know the dream where you have to give up a stat point to proceed? Is the loss permanent, or do you get it back at some point? Alienboy Fri, 11th Jan '02, 5:50am It's permanet but you have a chance to gain many soon. Right before the end you receive many bonuses to make up for it. Unless your a cleric/druid or maybe mage with an already fairly high wisdom take one of those. Ie, if you are a wizard don't give up your intelligence!! Headbanger Fri, 11th Jan '02, 3:42pm Indeed, you loose it permanently... In Hell you can get some stats back though... You can best sacrifice something you doesn't need much. When you use the ring of Human Influence sacrifice one charisma point, for the ring always sets your Charisma to 18 again :) Xenecor Fri, 11th Jan '02, 5:12pm Headbanger: I didn't get the option to sacrifice a charisma point. Extremist Fri, 11th Jan '02, 5:38pm Not only that stat - besides CHR you can't sacrifice strength so no Crom Faeyr abuse later! Lord Sarevok Fri, 11th Jan '02, 11:54pm I sacrficed dexterity(from 19 to 18) for my elven fighter/invoker, since it only gives some missle weapons advantages, and I don't use those. EDIT: Oh and it also gives some extra thieving ability bonuses but I'm not a thief am I? [This message has been edited by Lord Sarevok (edited January 11, 2002).] joacqin Sat, 12th Jan '02, 12:02am I think you should be able to choose from all stats. When I got there I really didnt have anything that I could easily sacrifice. I sacrificed some dex cause I was already using the dex gloves. |
