View Full Version : Current ALFA Characters
Frostbite Mon, 16th Jun '03, 11:08am Just a thought, I thought that if we made a topic for enveryones characters then it would be easier to keep a tab on whos who and the like. What with characters dying and new ones been created, this topic could be updated when anyone created a new charcater.
Eg. Taemarya Vion, (tae for short)
Female druid, with a Hawk companion, called Deva.
(RIP Thistler :( , guess thats what happens with a bottle of spirits, hills, and a handful of woves)
Anyway, I like Tae a lot better, shes fun to play, and a specialist in the healing arts.
Sir Belisarius Tue, 17th Jun '03, 1:52pm Rem Stoneybrook
Councillor of Daggerdale
Hero of the Ironstar Mines
Ambassador to Clan Ironstar
5th Level Halfling Rogue
Mathetais Tue, 17th Jun '03, 6:40pm Aramis Zegna
1st level Ranger (swashbuckler mentality)
Memeber of the circle of Seven Daggers
Server: Daggerdale (we should add this)
Currently wondering if/when I hit second level, should I go rogue, barbarian or druid.
Green hair & horns will travel! :good:
Sir Belisarius Tue, 17th Jun '03, 6:50pm BTA is a rogue/ranger...Go Ranger/Cleric godboy!!! ;) We were hoping we'd have a priest in the group! Although...Ranger Barbarian sounds kind of promising....
Mathetais Tue, 17th Jun '03, 7:04pm Maybe ... not sure how to RP it, plus I only have a 14 wisdom ... but that's fixable. I like the idea of healing your noble hin when he gets gored. ;)
I think BTA should go Druid and get an animal companion named Oats. Hallen & Oats .... get it!
Sir Belisarius Tue, 17th Jun '03, 7:24pm Ever thought of going straight ranger? I plan to go straight rogue until at least 10th level (assuming I live that long) Even then, I'm only going to add 2 fighter levels for the extra feats.
Blackthorne TA Tue, 17th Jun '03, 8:14pm Rogue is probably bad for you since you have a weak intelligence. For me Ranger/Rogue is all about the skills! With the good Wisdom, I'd go for Druid or Cleric if you want to multiclass, but Barbarian might not be bad with that Intelligence either :)
I'll get a companion at 6th level Ranger, and I'll call it Oates ;)
Mathetais Tue, 17th Jun '03, 8:17pm since you have a weak intelligenceAs an admin, you should know that personal attacks are not allowed here!!! ;)
vvvvv for those who do not know, my PC has an 8 int ... this is all an inside joke, no attack vvvvv

Blackthorne TA Tue, 17th Jun '03, 9:17pm No attack, merely a statement of fact! :)
I think I wouldn't mix two fighter types such as Ranger and Barbarian either...
Register Tue, 17th Jun '03, 11:04pm Keep him straight in all aspects. :)
And Bel, is your rouge already level 5? Holy sh*t! Will he be revived if he dies then?
Gnolyn Lochbreaker Tue, 17th Jun '03, 11:12pm Gnessen
Level 1 (soon to be level 2) Gnome Monk
The Vast Swamp
Oh yeah...and ugly as sin ;)
Mat, with a WIS of 14 you'll be fine as a multi-classed cleric. By the time a level 14 wisdom would have any affect on your casting abilities (bonus spells and spell level) you should have the chance to raise it to 15 and possibly 16. The only interim effect would be the strength of your spells.
Sir Belisarius Wed, 18th Jun '03, 4:27am Velve - WHo knows? I like to think that if I died, the community would rally to bring me back...But if not, I have 3 or 4 ideas for new characters brewing in my mind.
I did receive my first death threat from another pc today...So we'll see.
Register Wed, 18th Jun '03, 11:02am How strong was that other PC? You could just sneak attack him and then let some friends come and help you that have been hiding somewhere else.
Frostbite Wed, 18th Jun '03, 12:58pm Gith is a nasty man on daggerdale. He tried to kill me and my companions...
:(
Dunno what level he is... but hes got a great big axe...
(server crashed last night, and Tae lost over 100 exp, and some contracts... *cries*)
Sir Belisarius Wed, 18th Jun '03, 1:56pm The pc that may be after me is at least 5th level, too...And a druid. I'll have to speak with him though, I think he has me confused with another hin. My best chance against anyone coming after me is to set up traps somewhere and lure them in. I also have a 3x6 sneak attack damage which is nice too!
I haven't seen Gith yet, Frostbite. But I'll keep and eye out.
Blackthorne TA Wed, 18th Jun '03, 3:57pm Gith is dead, I saw his body in the headquarters. There was also another one named Death, so I guess we're all safe now that Death is dead! ;)
Mathetais Wed, 18th Jun '03, 4:05pm Heh BTA ... we must have weakened him Monday night ;)
If anyone has a death threat against him/her, seek Armais Zegna. He knows all the good places to hide ;)
Sir Belisarius Wed, 18th Jun '03, 4:10pm Gith? Death? It sounds like ALFA let a knucklehead in...
Math, I tried to PM you, but it says I am one your ignore list! Is this intentional? Don't make me fly out to Chicago...!
Register Wed, 18th Jun '03, 4:27pm Is the man that threatened Bel Gith or what? I simply just don't get this.
Sir Belisarius Wed, 18th Jun '03, 4:35pm No, the threat supposedly came from a drow pc on the server. I hesitate to mention their name, because it is unconfirmed. But what I've said should tell you if you've ever been on Daggerdale.
Subra Wed, 18th Jun '03, 5:08pm I made a dwarf monk name Mingan Rigg in Daggerdale, but there was only 1 person on the server besides myself when I logged on...and since I've been doing BG1 lately I haven't gotten back on.
I applied with a human druid named Subra, and I like the druid for solo play, but if I could get some party action, I think I would roll a cleric instead. The only thing is I really like to use swords instead of blunt weapons so I would probably have to do 1 or 2 levels as a barbarian. I have a very good RP concept of a Barbarian minor, Cleric major that I think would also be a survivable combination with good party contribution due to divine magic and heavy armor. The barbarian minor gives me the weapons I prefer - longswords and longbows too.
Sir Belisarius Wed, 18th Jun '03, 5:29pm Barbarian cleric sounds pretty cool. I am going straight rogue...Maybe 2 levels of Fighter, if I live longer than 10th level.
Mathetais Wed, 18th Jun '03, 5:59pm This (http://www.sorcerers.net/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=6;t=001125;p=1#0000 05) thread made me wonder ... do cleric domains work the same way in ALFA? I'd hate to make a cleric only to find out otherwise.
Frostbite Wed, 18th Jun '03, 8:15pm OoO? Gith is dead!
YaY! No more random unprovoced attacks from him.
Wonder what got him though...
Gothmog• Thu, 19th Jun '03, 9:49pm You know... Perhaps we should all stick to the topic a bit more.
I think the best idea is to create a thread with current news and similiar themes. I'm going to create one. Right now.
On-Topic (remember when we *used*to write off-topic one upon a time?)
My current char is a rogue/wizard. Lvl 2 already :D
Both lvl1 naturaly. I intend to have her more as a wizard rather than rogue though... And she has a nice character... you who are on ALFA must-ve already noticed ;) :grin
Jacha is retired and another guy took over. Completely different one.
Big Half-orc bigsword-loving barbarian called Roshnak. heh preety much standard.
He's immensely strong and with his big sword he makes wonders.
