ccc, chap... edit your post a bit ;)
Mostly we're on DD (Daggerdale). Its fun and almost everyime you logon there're folks around, so you cant be bored.
Also we have a diety ally on DD ;) (Belisarius that is... Rem IC)
Just in case we met an elemental/dragon/chimera :)
My character though (Himo Heian), likes to travel around. But he still spends most of his time in the Dagger dales.
EDIT: Be ready to die. A lot
you could perhaps survive longer if you join our The Unwanted group ;)

Yes, don't let dying put you off! I've died many many many times, must be naering my 20th character soon :p
I say you should come to Pirate Ilse! It's not quiet live yet but will be by the end of the year, all things going well. There is a mixture of all different things there, from huge urban areas, to vast hilly land scapes, to dark caves crawling with fish-men, and even sea battles agaisnt another pirate ship!
My current character there has caputerd his own boat, and is now trying to find a trust worthy crew for him to captain! Got 3 members so far, including a x-slave who we named Plum, after something he said.
Having said that, if you are looking for somewhere just to get the hang of the basics, try Daggerdale, but I warn you, there is very few DM thingys for low levels PCs there, that's what put me off it.
Or prehaps Waterdeep. If you are looking for roleplaying that's the place to go. In my short time there I didn't encounter one single monster (exluding the one that killed me), although there where a couple of theives but they are easy to avoid. The DMs are constantly on as well, giving small little quests to even the lowest level PC, and it's great fun!
Well, where ever you choose to play, I'm sure you will have a lot of fun!
And now there is a friendly DM there as wel. So that takes away all reason for not coming there!

Well if I get in I am thinking about going to Pirate Isles or Baldurs Gate. Depends which one has more DM quests and stuff. If Isles isn't up by the time I get in(knock on wood) then I will do BG and go there when I die.

Baldurs Gate, although it's a great server, is designed for high level characters. The DMs there are kind to lower levels and give out high XP rewarding quests to quickly get them off the two lower levels. It maybe best to travel there once you've had a bit of expreience.
And you can still play on Pirate Ilse while it's in Beta, it's just that the character won't be able to travel across severs, which shouldnt' pose a problem for a new comer. And the thing about been in Beta, us DMs there are very lenient about raising the dead. There's no point killing people in Beta, we know the Death system works fine. So that makes it a good chance for a lot of DM interaction with out dying ;)

Well first I have to get accepted, which might take a couple tries, so chances are by the time I get in it will be up anyways.
And where can I find something to show the different times zones. Because I have noticed in the forums they post times for events, and they are in a different time zone than me. Also when are you generally online?

Of course you could try Yartar where all of the DMs are from SP. Arwen may not be as active anymore but Xenmaster, Mesmero and I still post here.
