ok i got a problem.....i have all the ingredients for the spell except a normal weapon...i know now that i was supose to get it from that dead guy but i went back and rested...now i cant find a normal weapon anywhere. I am just continuing the quest and right now am finishing off the demon chik w/ wings but know that i will soon need a normal weapon. Anyone know where i can get one? Thanks.
ps. I didnt sell one to that airship commander(forgot name)

What you need are the broken bits of armour and weapons that you can find around. If what was left near Captain Yursten (the dead guy) is gone, there *might* be some lying around somewhere in one of the ice temple maps, but I can't remember off-hand.

Rengar, who you had to kill before you could get to Sherincal, had some ancient armor on him. This is on the Ice Wall map, with all the tunnels.

Second, I haven't tried it, but consider pick-pocketing a non-hostile NPC - maybe Zack Boossenbury. Do multiple pick pockets until you get the message that no more items are to be easily pickpocketed from a certain NPC. Many a dagger have I pickpocketed in IWD II ;) .

What is the pickpocket score for effective pickpocketing?

For easier targets, you should have around 10-12, for hard ones 20+

I have already gathered all the components that Oswald requires to repair the airship but I can't seem to make him see that. I always ended with the "I'll come back with the components." (not the exact line) dialogue.

the component's in my inventory are:
(item - quantity)
wood - 2
thryme (sp?) - 5
spider web -2, I even brought along two bodies of dead giant spiders
diamonds - 2
belladona - 1
broken armor - 1
broken shield - 1
broken miscellaneous - 1
several weapons

As you can see, I have more than what is required (I think), so please tell me what else should I do.

Easy, just lay the ingredients down on Oswald's table. IIRC that what he tells you to do when you first get the quest from him. Slow down and read my friend ;) . It's not all hack n' slash :p .

Make sure you put his book, the one with the spell components in it, back on the table as well. Once all the ingredients and the book are on the table, talk to Oswald. Then exit the airship since "it will take a little time" for his spell to work and you are going to have to fight through the ice wall and ice temple...
