Well im a fighter and i was wondering how to get a stronghold, and what strongholds are there.

it is the nalia d`arnise stronghold and the thief stronghold is mae avirs giuldhall or something like that

I'm a fighter/thief (multi)
what stronghold do i get in this case?
any one of the two I want?

Ok, here you are:

Fighter(De'Arnise Hold)
Cleric(Temple of your Alignment)
Thief(Mae'Var's Guildhall)
Mage(Planar Sphere)
Druid(Druid Grove)
Ranger(Ranger Cabin)
Bard(Playhouse under the Five Flagoons)
Paladin(Membership into the Most Noble Order of the Radiant Heart)

Multiclassed characters can choose only one stronghold of one of their classes. Same goes with dual classed characters, exept you won't be able to get the stronghold for your first class if you haven't completed your dual, since you're still technically only your second class...

There are numerous bugs and cheats that can be exploited to get more than one, but I won't mention them.

Monks and Barbarians also get the De'Arnise Hold, and Sorcerers get the Planar Sphere.

Oh, and you basically get in by doing it's related quest, like for the De'Arnise hold you have to clear it...

The D'Arnise Hold quest you can get at the beginning of Chapter 2 in the Copper Coronet.

Most of the strongholds have a few minor quests specific to having the stronghold. There are usually some interesting dialogues at the beginning of owning it, and depending on the stronghold you can do and accomplish a few different things. Most of them also give you some means to earn income, but you also have to pay for your stronghold's upkeep in those cases.

Oh, you can sleep there whenever you want, and you'll always have someplace to store items...and to call home :) Basically, they add a fun little twist to the game.

But how do i get the quest.

To get the fighter stronghold quest just enter the Copper Coronet and talk to Nalia.

I did it it wasn't that hard, besides the troll at the end.
