This time I slayed him in close combat with this party.

Me - Berserker, LvL 10
Keldorn - LvL 10, or is it 11...
Anomen - LvL 10
Jaheira - LvL 13 as Druid, 12 Fighter I think
Cernd - LvL 10
Jan - Don't really care, just as he can disarm traps and open locks, maybe find traps to.

It was NOT hard, but not a very good party.

Good job, especially with those levels. I gave it up and went back in Ch 6 to take care of this Dragon. My levels were much higher. I succeeded in the first attempt, but just barely.

Good work, although I still think dragons are easy.
I was lv. 9 when I kicked his arse. :)

indeed, when you use the right tactics.... I did the same at level 10 so this isn't very special... but good job! By the way, how can Jaheira have a much higher level then the rest?

Easy? HA! My 12th level paladin/inquisitor took him SOLO using lilacor, boots of speed, ring of gaxx, pride of the legion and LOTS of healing potions. :D

I totally agree when people say that the Dragons in the game are too easy. I mean, when you think of dragon-slayers, you think of a party consisted out of at least 20-25+ lvl characters ( maybe even more ), because Dragon-slaying should be the crown of all slayings in a fantasy game. How can you expect a 10th lvl party to kill something that is 500+ years old and with an incredible amount of spells and abillities that can disolve humans in a matter of seconds? It's totaly impossible. I know that you can't implement much of, let's say, realism in a computer game, but developers should have made Firkraag and the rest much, much tougher...

Druids gain levels very quickly up to 13th or so. Jaheira frequently winds up having a better thaco from druid levels than from fighter levels because her druid level will be 2 or 3 higher than the fighter.

If you dual class to a rogue or druid, you don't spend as long levelling up, because they both gain levels very quickly. That's one reason I did a berserker to druid dual, as my first attempt at a dual class character.
