I don't remember since last I played the game.. but are there supposed to be Leather Armour of Fortitude's lying around every corner, or are my random loot tables broken in some way?

I'm about to enter the caverns leading to the horde fortress, and so far I've found 3 Leather Armour of Fortitudes in the game, the last on being worn by Trungnak. And I'm getting a wee bit tired of them!

There is a stupid amount of magical items in general. So many infact that it gets lame.

I disagree. The magic items in this game pale into insignificance next to the superhuman overpowered uber-items in BG2. At least in IWD2 you don't design your whole character progression around some super powerful magical items that you somehow 'know' you are going to get during the game.

Well, are these stupid amounts of magical items you refer to... always the same item?

The only stuff I found is the items that are always there such as Vghotans collar and that throwing axe in the troll cave.. and... Leather Armour of Fortitude.

Just wait until you start finding Returning Frost Darts under every snowflake in the Dale.

Oo yes I had a neat collection of returning frost darts! :shake:

And my melee characters used those Leather armors till the near end of the game. Must stink terribly! :p :p :p

I guess everything is as it should be then :) . I just didn't remember those armours, and I've played to a certain part in the game (quite a bit in) a few times before.

You are getting loads of Leather Armour of Fortitude? Well, I'm getting loads of Leather Armour of Dexterity (5 so far)!

I have found that weapons found tend to cater for those that you use the most. In one game, all my melee characters used axes. Almost all containers and random drops were axes. I am now playing with swords and now most weapons I get are swords.
I don't know if this is true for every gamer, but it suits me down to the ground!
