Sorry to ask what might be a glaringly obvious question but in 3rd Edition do what is the primary attribute that affects bards arcane spellcasting? Is it Intelligence like the wizard, or Charisma like the sorceror. As a class they revolve more around Charisma, but in BG2 it is determined by intelligence. Any help greatly appreciated

AFAIK, bard spellcasting in 3E is Charisma-based. (It is so in NWN at least.)

Wizards (and specialist Wizards) go by INT; Bards and Sorcerors go by CHA; and Rangers, Druids, Clerics and Paladins go by WIS.

If you didn't patch the game, DC for bard spells will be calculated by int. This is a bug--not how 3rd edition is supposed to work.
