View Full Version : IWD2 Interview at Sorcerer's Place Taluntain Wed, 10th Apr '02, 12:40am The link is http://www.sorcerers.net/Articles/iwd2_interview.htm Enjoy! ;) Blackthorne TA Wed, 10th Apr '02, 2:25am Good stuff. I can't wait to see that Goblin get knocked off his Worg! Mollusken Wed, 10th Apr '02, 7:22am Me to :). The questions were really good, and there was a whole lot of them. Must have been tough to come up with them after all the other interviews. Ragusa Wed, 10th Apr '02, 9:26am Good Work, Tal :) Sir Yerril of Morningmist Wed, 10th Apr '02, 10:55am That goblin worg thing reminds me of devil shades in ToB. Anyway, well done, Tal! ArtEChoke Wed, 10th Apr '02, 1:54pm Good stuff. I can't wait to see that Goblin get knocked off his Worg! Hmm, reminds me of a few nights at the bar... trust me getting knocked off your worg is an ugly thing. Seriously, this game sounds like it will be worth it for the character possiblities alone. Mathetais Wed, 10th Apr '02, 6:34pm A couple follow-up questions..... 1) do you have any screenshots of the new game interface? I'm really curious about the inventory screen as I don't think I've ever used one without a paperdoll. I normally like they look of those better than the avatar! 2) On the improved Heart of Fury mode .... (A) can we switch between normal mode and this mode? (B) it sounds like you can replay the game in iHOF mode ... do you restart with your characters at their end of game level? 3) WHEN IS IT COMING OUT ALREADY? ;) Taluntain Wed, 10th Apr '02, 7:00pm 1) They haven't released any yet. They're still working on the interface. 2) Yes, HoF only makes sense after you complete the game once. You need tough chars to begin with. You can just export the chars at the end of the game and import them back and start with them. 3) Should be by the end of next month, but I have my doubts about that deadline. Extremist Wed, 10th Apr '02, 7:01pm The interface has styling similar to Planescape: Torment, but it is all brand new. The spell icons have been redone by Brian Menze, the artist responsible for the PS: T icons. Drool, yes, drool!!! Taluntain Wed, 10th Apr '02, 7:31pm Heh, I actually guessed that it'll be like Torment's interface, before they even said a word about it. ;) Mathetais Wed, 10th Apr '02, 7:32pm Am I dreaming or is Extremist actually excited about a D&D game??? ;) Extremist Wed, 10th Apr '02, 10:38pm You're not dreaming. First IWD was nice, played it once, finished, and gave the CDs away. It was not too exciting. I never got interested in HoW and TotL. But, as SP was down for about 10 days, I moved my spamming on BIS boards and read many, many new info about IWD2. What is in that info? Things that are possible! Not blank promises (as for NWN). And after this interview it's all more clearer. Something between BG2 complexity, PST hyperplotbase and IWD playability. I am excited. I am! Bring me here the moron who is delaying the release of this game, I have a nice set of inquisition machines ready for him! Laminatedass Mon, 15th Apr '02, 12:58am In the article it said there would be Dragons. I am inclined to think there would be more than one as he used the plural. I wonder where the dragons would be and what type of dragons. Mathetais Mon, 15th Apr '02, 2:38pm White Dragons are in for sure ... fits the cold weather. They are small, but we might have to fight more than one at once (I think I saw a screenshot somewhere with 3-4 of them!!!!) IIRC Silver Dragons also favor the cold, so there might be one of them, but only the evil folk would kill it. Rolsuk Fryulee Tue, 16th Apr '02, 8:02pm Anyone know what the average experience is????:confused:Oh sorry, forget it. [This message has been edited by Rolsuk Fryulee (edited April 18, 2002).] |
