I'm sorry to play Devil's Advocate here, but your party has a serious imbalance issue. You don't even have one priestly character, Cleric, Druid, or otherwise.

Priestly magic isn't just about licking your wounds after a battle, it's also about making sure your party is going to survive the battle.

I consider myself in the least a competent IWD2 normal-mode player. In the battle for the Holy Avenger, there's no way I can get around using spells like Heal and Mass Cure. The lack of a Cleric in particular also means that you're missing out on buff spells that can be cast before combat begins.

I'm sorry to be so blunt, but I'm telling it to you the way I see it.

Its ok friend its cool to be blunt. When I set up my characters in the beginning I thought my paladan would be useful as a cleric, because of my experience in Baldur's Gate, but I soon found out that that decision was not I good one in Icewind Dale II. Sorry but I forgot to mention the characters that I added cleric abilities to before. I have a Paladin of Mystra level 14 with a character level of 15. My level 15 ranger is also a level 3 Morning Lord of Lathander. My level 13 Rogue is a level 2 bard. My level 12 wizard is a level 3 Silverstar of Selune.None of the have very exceptional healing powers.

Well, remember, BG series = D&D 2E. IWD2 = 3E. Never you mind, the battle is still possible, though you do need luck. lots of luck.

What I suggest is once the battle starts, have the Paladin pick up Cera Sumat quickly, then proceed to disable the spellcasters one by one. Use Cera Sumat's Dispel ability if they buff up too much. Not much else I can tell you. Sorry.

But still, you cleric level is not enough. A full time cleric is very crucial. But anyway, here is a cheap way (valid still) to kill all six

LordFess:I too played Baldur's Gate series too much and after first time playing i thought i needed help,my party was seriously sucking. From what i've learned in BG pure classers were really good(think of Yoshimo here). But as my pure classers took serious damage i understood that multiclassing was essential in Icewind Dale II.

This is, Without a Doubt, My Favorite Battle in the Game! Namely cause i tend to play Paly's WAY too much.

First and Foremost!! Kill the Summoner towards the top!! Picking up the Cera Sumat Helps in this, and don't forget your "Turn Undead" Skill. Very Useful in this place Both Times you visit. Even if it doesn't kill them, making them panic is useful!

If your wizard has Improved Haste,(or normal Haste) That will Help out alot here, since you seem to be melee Heavey.

Take out the Casters First, Because they do more damage the longer they last. The Warriors are tough too, But they are ignorable for a time.

If you have managed to get the Lucerne Hammer, It Wipes up here, It will cast Disruption, Instant Death to all undead and Outsiders (Fort Save) Very Useful ehre..

Just a few hints/suggestions. GOod Luck Chrs :D

Club of Disruption works well on them. Also Holy Avenger+Smite Evil combination deals good damage. Summon undead near some of them. Also you can cast Otiluke's Resilient Sphere in order to decrease opponent numbers.
