I have a bizarre bug with the potion of Holy Transference, the one that gives you +2 wis, -1 dex, gotten from the battle square. After my cleric, current wisdom 20, drinks it his wisdom increases to 22.

However the weird part is no buff spells will affect him anymore. Spells like bless, strength, stoneskin, anything that puts an icon in his portrait don't work anymore. I've repeated this multiple times with earlier saves and as soon as I drink the potion he loses the ability to hold an enchantment. Even stranger my other characters do not exhibit this if they drink it.

I notice the icon flashes for a split second then immediently goes off.

Any ideas?

Sounds buggered, mate.

Reload and try one more time.

If that doesn't cut it, chuck the potion, use Dalekeeper to give yourself the stats, and enjoy the rest of the game. Some bugs are worth just overriding and moving on.

That is weird. I just looked in the game, and noticed that Wisdom affects Will Saving Throws (so the wiser you are, the harder it is to break your will), but all of the spells you name don't have saving throws, so that's not it.

The only thing that I see that might be relevant is this, from the readme for patch 2.01:

Fixed a number of problems with incorrect saving throw types and DC's on a variety of spells.

Is your game patched? If not, then you might want to patch it. Otherwise I'd take ejsmith's advice and try giving yourself the points in Dalekeeper, but if it's a bug, I'm not sure that would "fix" it any more than just drinking the potion.

Good luck.
