I'm currently soloing a monk through the game.
I have left the option "rest until healed" activated. Although it gives silly results for a party without healing spells (each resting period is measured in days), I reckoned that game time had no influence over the game, while de-activating it would have an impact on my gaming time.

Well, I had forgotten one detail: the prisonners quest in the Ice Temple.

I entered the Ice Temple right after my battle with Sherincal, but left for a rest before fighting the first High Priestess.
I rested and came back.
I killed that Priestess, then went to pay a visit to Nathanael... but he was gone along with all the prisonners !
Silly me, didn't remember they were sacrificed at regular intervals.

Even sillier, I don't have a saved game before that.

My quest diary states that I have "found a way to free the prisonners". Yep, sure, they're free from this world...
But without Nathanael to break the Ice Wall at the end of the Chapter, I'm afraid I'm stuck. :(

Is there a way I can edit the game to restore Nathanael to it?
If someone has a saved game corresponding to that stage, could you have a look at the global variables ?

i did that too, have you searched all the rooms? it seems that he moves from his room to a more southern room then moves back to his "original" room that he is usually in. try going down the stairs with the picture and back up and see if reappears, other than that ... uhh errr ....

You're right.
I found him in the small treasure room beyond the secret passage wall.

Thanks a lot. :)

I still lost the huge xp reward for freeing the prisonners, and I could have used an extra level in the Battle Square... but it sure beats having to start all over again.
