just bought IWD2, and is now having a problem with my wizard. basically i choose burning hands and magic missiles to memorize and got the scrolls and scribed them. and was happy to get the spells in the shortcut icons. i cast the spells a few times and suddenly the icon is not active anymore. i tried to rest a few times, but still the icon is not activated. then i got other spells as well like chromatic orb which i still cant cast. my wizard has INT 18. please help me.

i also download the online help guide on spells, and what is that with the duration? some spells have like 1round/level and some has instantenous, and some have like 10 rounds. can anyone help me with this?

Hmm...are you sure you added the quick slot for spells (the same as the spell casting cursor - a semi-circle with stars) and not a quick slot for the scolls? Also check to make sure that you have prepared the spells in your spell book. If the spell icon is no longer on the quick slot bar, add it again: right click an empty space on the bar, then select the spell icon.

Duration means how long the spell's effects last. Some are a set limit (10 rounds, 1 hour, etc) while others will change with your level (1 round/level).

yeah i have put the quick icon to the semi-moon with stars icon, i eventually got 4 of them. but the spells are not there. the spells are memorized in my spell book, or should i clear the spells and put in the spells again? i am thinking it is a bug or something like that coz i have no problem with my ranger, who got all 5 spells selected everytime my group sleeps.
