I saw from the quest list that you supposedly could earn some xp by defeating both a viper's fang assassin or a coiled cabal sorcerer in a dual. Has anyone gotten this to work? I found that I could trick them into revealing information for xp, but any time I tried talking to one of the leaders it always started a fight. My speaker had pretty high bluff and diplomacy scores and a decent imitate so I am not sure how I could get them to start the duel dialogue.

If anyone has been able to get this to work, let me know how you did it.

I don't know, but class must have an impact. Perhaps a rogue or sorcerer or wizard needs to initiate dialogue?

I had the same thoughts, but I had my rogue talking to Ashra and my Sorceress speaking with the head of the coiled cabal. Both dialogues started the fight, so I was hoping someone else may have had different results...

Maybe this is like the training of the Remorhaz outside the ice temple, or the Veerbeg on the ice plains. Maybe the triggers for these quests were disabled as well.

Looks like it doesn't work at all. I tried to trigger the global variable that enables the quest, but failed - so it must be either a bug, or it was cut out.

If someone can prove otherwise, send me a note - I will also give you credit in the solution.
