A topic devoted to the possible loss of items due to spells is beneficial to most of us so here we go. :)
Flesh to Stone should be obvious, but I have to admit I haven't tested it. :o
What about Disintegrate?

Early Grey ... just drank a cup of you!
I haven't been able to disintegrate anything yet :( I'll test it tonight.

If the target has potions or some liquid, then when you use horrid wilting, the potions will vanish.
For your information, the above statement is not true in either 3rd edistion rules or IWD2 or NWN.

I haven't tried to use flesh to stone, but desintegrate does not make items desappear.

Disintegrate doesn't make the items disapair all the time, Think its a base chance, never vitnessed it. And with flesh to stone, even if you destroy the "stonestatue" afterwords, thought it was a base chance then to... never used flesh to stone yeth, dissintegrate and finger of death works ok for me :D
