I'm hoping there's an item in this game that will cast the spell "Shield". I want it for my single-classed Monk (it'll make him a better decoy).
If one exists, please tell me what it is and where it can be found.
Thanks!
EDIT: I found there is a Shield Ring in the game. Where can it be found though?

I believe you can buy it in Targos from the mayor's wife

Not sure where that ring can be found, but I think Ulbrec's wife sells an amulet with about 30? charges of shield on it.

She does sell an amulet and IIRC it's 50 charges. ;)

The Amulet has 33 charges and is sold in Targos.
The Ring can be used 2x/day and is held by Beastlord Harshom.

The quest in the goblin warrens rewarded me an armor which can cast Shield twice a day, but I guess it is random.

It must be, Silverstar. How good is the armor by itself (It is odd to have armor casting an armor spell)?

Not even +1 enchanted, IIRC, normal studded leather in all other respects, as my friend decided to keep his +1 studded leather instead. +1 bonus which is active all the time is better than some other bonus you need to activate all the time, according to him.
And I know it is odd, but doesn't shield spell's AC bonus count as a shield bonus? So it stacks with armor? Hmm... :hmm: It also gives immunity to magic missiles, handy against goblin sorcerers around.

I'm pretty sure the spell Shield adds armor bonus, not shield bonus. The name's just weird.

It's a magical shield which acts like an armour and deflects magic missiles hence the name.
Moreover there is already a level one spell named mage armour (which doesn't deflect magic missiles) so IMHO it would be worse to have two armour spells.
If it was a shield bonus the two spells would stack and it would be too powerful... :shake:

D&D had the Shield spell long before there was a difference between the different types of defenses. :)
