Ok, here we go:

1) LG Aasimar Fighter 4/ Paladin X
2) LG Human Monk X/ Cleric of Ilmater 1*
3) CG Shield Dwarf Battleguard of Tempus X
4) LG Human Sorcerer X/ Paladin 1*
5) LN Human Druid X/ Cleric of Bane 1
6) CG Drow Rogue 1/Wizard X**

* -- I will add these single levels after reaching level 20 (or maybe a tad earlier, basically whenever I feel like I'm powerful enough) in the characters respective main-class. I value the Cleric multiclass a lot, because I understand death is all but unavoidable in Heart of Fury mode, and I would like to have characters be able to Raise or Resurrect my Battleguard of Tempus should she fall in battle with an item. An extra few CLW's never hurt either. ;)
** -- I could add a single level of Bard, and will if (and only if!!!) I find any items that only a Bard can use that I really like.

I'm glad to have basically unhindered advancement with my main spellcasters (Cleric, Druid, and Sorcerer), and I think the Monk can be treated similarly (they really need every level they can get). Through some minor squatting with my Paladin, as well as the ECL penalties of having an Aasimar and a Drow in the party, I think I will advance slightly faster than the usual six-member party. I think this will be a lot of fun, and plan on finally sticking to this game (I'm so confident, I started a different thread!), and would love to hear any comments on this group before I actually create it (which should be in an hour or two, I want to run errands and eat dinner first ;) ).

Thanks for reading this thread, all my other threads, and for your input in return. I look forward to your comments.

Seems pretty sound, Klorox. Personally, I'd add more evil party members (Balance in all things... ;) ) to help avoid the effects of Blasphemy later on. The drow could certainly stand to be evil, although the Battleguard might be best left as Good or Neutral-aligned. The Druid could be NE, too. Other than that, everyone's either part Paladin or Painbearer, so doesn't have the option.

Of course, if predominantly Good-alignment is an RP choice, then just ignore me! :)

EDIT: Ooh! New shiny one!

How can you tell if you've got a new shiney one with an avatar (I'm relatively new to the avatar world)?

I do plan on staying Good, or maybe some Neutrals, but mostly Good. It's what I've always enjoyed in the Fantasy setting: Good beating Evil.

I'm relatively new to the avatar worldYou've been registered ~18 months longer than me, and I can't remember when you weren't that dwarf! :shake: Anyway, the rankings are here (http://www.sorcerers.net/ubb/faq.html#ranking), and you can also see when you've got a new gem in your profile.
It's what I've always enjoyed in the Fantasy setting: Good beating Evil.It gets old after a while. I like to go for "evil beating everyone" every now and then, to spice things up a bit. ;)

I just got this Avatar August 9, 2005. I'm glad I have the dwarf image thang down though, they're the best! BTW, I added the (possible) bit about the Bard to the Drow Rogue 1/Wizard. What do you think?

There are some nice Bard-only items. They might be random drops, though, so it may depend on your game as to whether they actually appear. Keep it as an option, but don't let it distract you too much.

LOL!

BTW, I might also (again, very late game) multiclass in a single level of Monk for the Druid. I'll only do this if I really enjoy the shapeshifting, as the WIS bonus to AC is applied.

Will this party work if I just plan on going through the game on regular mode?

I don't know if I'll like the game enough to conquer it again in Heart of Fury mode, which is why I ask.

Also, if I am just going to go through the game once, am I better off not adding in that 1 Cleric level to builds 2 and 5? Also, am I better off not adding a level of Paladin to my Sorcerer?

I don't understand why you wish to add those Cleric level. What do you intend to gain?
At any rate, of you make a full 6 member party straight from Targos, you are not casting L9 spells anyways. So mixing-in a level or two won't make much of a difference.

The Cleric level on those guys was to allow them to use resurrection scrolls/items if my Cleric is killed in combat, especially considering my Cleric will be used as a Tank whenever needed.

power-wise, if you are determined to add a cleric level to your monk, i would suggest starting him as a banite cleric and then switch over to monk after 1 level. you will have a better monk at the end, and even better after hof (banite clerics get a big bonus useful to monks, but i dont want to spoil it for you)
