What happened to the Swift boy after the big fight at the Palisade? I need to get back to Ulbrec in town. Thanks.

After the final battle with Caballus you will find the boy at the main entrance/exit of the pallisade to the outside world.
(Just a little north of where Caballus appears) :D

Or you could just walk to the lower end of the map and then proceed to the town's gates.
