Hmm. Try "Debug Mode=1". Actually, I also think you can enable cheats in the Icewind Dale II Configuration menu (this I believe you can access through: Start Menu - All Programs - Black Isle - Icewind Dale II).

I went in to Start Menu - All Programs - Black Isle - Icewind Dale II. Were do I put the Cheat=1. What I get in the configuration, in Black Isle is a new window with four buttons: Options, General, Wizard Spells, Monk Spells.

This is where you should go to enable console
configuration (http://www.public.iastate.edu/~teekc/misc/first.JPG)
i believe the console option is under game tab instead of the General tab shown in this pic
general (http://www.public.iastate.edu/~teekc/misc/second.JPG)

NO!!!
In IWD the cheats were CheatersDoProsper:etc... But in IWD2 the command phrase is 'ctrlaltdelete:etc...'. Although the second part of the line, add gold(1000) or setcurrentxp(10000) is still the same. Always use ( ) around the numbers or area codes. " " are not used. :)
