When you're referring to this thread

<UL TYPE=SQUARE> http://www.sorcerers.net/cgi-bin/postdisplay.cgi?forum=Forum14&topic=000013 [/list]

I can tell you why: Check the dates and you will realize tha most of the posts about kits are from a time before it was announced that there will be no kits in IWD-2 and when Bioware was running a huge kit discussion on their boards. That's about it.

right .... and it ended up being a huge waste of brilliant creativity.

They even made some cool / unique kits. I'm still wondering how cool a votary would be! And a few of their other kits kicked bootie too. :(

How dare Wizards of the Coast change from 2nd to 3rd ed? Oh well, change is good!

It may also be done in a way similar to NWN, where it is no kits, but packages of skills that are basically kits.

There will not be any similarities with NWN. Except some game rules of course, but as I've always said - the game is not good or bad because of rules, but because of design (sound, graphics, story, etc). Oh, let's not forget the Quality Assurance section and customer support.
