With IWD2 just around the corner, I would have expected people to talk about it a lot more.

Guess I was wrong. :(

Guess you were. People still play BG2 and stuff, so why talk so much about IWD2. Also, there's not that much talk about NWN.
Anyway, most of the stuff you could talk about, without actually playing the game, has already been said. :)

I'm dying to play IWDII. But until the game comes out I don't think that there is too much to talk about. I'm still deciding on my pary size and composition. It's my guess that this board will become VERY active towards the end of May.

Zhen, the "problem" of this place is that spams are dealt with efficiently and thoroughly.
As you may see there are not so much posts in any forum, not just here, but each post has it's actual contents, message and reason.
Posting without reason or just to roll your spamcounter +1 is something against the rules on these boards, so...

Remember, this place is not, and I hope will never be, BIS WWOT forum.

Anyway, I bet we're all eager to see IWD2, but J.E.'s witholding on specific informations can't provide enough material to flame. ;)
Plus, not much people are informed with 3rd ed rules so arguing about implementation of those without seeing it would be somewhat strange.

But don't forget to visit this place more often when the game is out! I bet the info that will be posted here will crush all other IWD2 forums on the net! Mark my words.

I needed another post to my tally, so I thought I'd chime in! ;)

I'm really looking forward to IWD2!! Everything I've read about it has been good, and I am excited to see how the 3ed is going to perform in the Infinity Engine format.

Plus, from a visual and musical standpoint, I've thought IWD is better than the BG games...There's something about all that snow that makes the game eerier!!

Anyway, I've been thinking about making a Sorcerer's place all-star party:

Me: Paladin
Tal: Sorcerer type dude
BTA: a wizard/fighter type dude
Mathetais: a cleric type dude
Ragusa: a halfling paladin/rogue ;)
Avarahtar: Barbarian
Shadow_Goddess: dishwasher/sorceress
Kitiara: bow wielding elf magess
Extremist: I'm still trying to figure out: maybe a bard/rogue/fighter/
Sir Yerril: If I die, my paladin replacement!

Ahh, so many characters here...and so few party slots!!!

There's probably so little discussion because all the info is on SP. If you read everything there, you can hardly be left with any questions at this point...

Corr; I still play BG2 too (although I just stopped to go back and play BG... again).

Extremist; never implied that this should become the WOOT of the BIS board, just was surprised at the lack of discussion on the IWD2 subject.

But you guys just convinced me, I will bring fuel to the IWD2 discussion or... I won't.

We shall see.

I'm with you ... I can't wait, but I don't know what else to say. I've been tempted to say, "Can't wait, is it out yet" in a post every day!

Bel ... what a great idea ... the SP ALL STARS.

Me ... the flaming Cleric [that's flaming heterosexual cleric ;) ]
Bel ... the quintessential Paladin
Tal ... umm, can you say Sorcerer?
Arwen ... Drow Bard
Kitiara ... Elf something (ranger, sorceress, is Temptress a Prestige Class yet?)
Lokken ... Pretty Boy Elf with spells and Swords
Erran ... Bard with skills in "Use Any Electronic Item"

errrr, right, but what about alignments?

I bet CE for Kit and me, but what about others? ;)

Bel, I am incredibly flattered that you would consider me, your squire, to be worthy of being placed amongst the ranks of the SP all-stars.

(LG elven pally, BTW)
