I would like to know how to use the potraits that you can download at this site.

Well, you can't use a portrait in the forums, only ops and people who have contributed to SP get an avatar

I think he means in the game...

Create a directory named "Portraits" in your game's install directory and copy them in there. Then just select one in the game on the character customization screen.

and if they still dont work, then you may have downloaded some portraits for a different game. they have to be specific dimensions - 210 X 330 pixels for the big ones, and 42 X 42 pixels for the small ones.

Tal, do they have to be .bmps? or can they be other formats?

I have only been able to make .bmps work. And if I have made them the wrong size, they just seem to get cropped (starting from the top left hand corner).
