Hi everybody. :)
I've been browsing these forums for months now, and today I've decided to join up. I've been an avid RPG fan for years.
Currently I'm (trying) to play through Icewind Dale II, which leads me to my question:
I've been having horrible performance problems with the game. Yesterday I got to the second level of the Goblin Barracks, and the game became downright unplayable. The framerate became incredibly choppy, and the whole game is just brought down to a halt. Considering my machine is WAY over the requirements, and that the engine is four years old, I would expect nothing but the smoothest performance ;)
I tried disabling every option I could find, turning down pathfinding nods, even playing in a window, but to no avail.
My system specs:
- Pentium 4, 1700 mhz
- GeForce 4 Ti4200
- 256 mb SDRAM
- Windows XP Proffesional edition
Surely I should have no problems with the game, not to mention every other Infinity Engine game I got works just fine.
Can anyone help?
