This might seem like a silly question but I've asked it over on the Icewind Dale II boards over on GameFAQs and received absolutely no help. My question is where do you find a Greataxe +5 or any of its enchanted variants? I've played through all of Normal and I've reached Chult in Heart of Fury yet up to this point I've found nothing stronger than a Greataxe +4 (haven't even found an enchanted variant of that either).

I'm left bewildered as it is supposed to be a random drop but I'm unsure as to who or what drops it and where this creature or person can be found. Thanks for any help that can be provided.

Doesent that smith in Kuldahar sell +5 weapons (including greataxes) ?

I think he does, otherwise you will probably have to wait untill HoF or something.

Actually he doesn't sell +5 weapons (except for a few enchanted longswords, greatswords, and halberds.

Hmmm, it sounds familiar. My guess would have been the smith in Kuldahar in Heart of Fury mode but if it's a random drop then I'd never be able to remember where I found it. Someone here will know though. Jukka or Chevalier might know. Hojo Jojo would know but I haven't seen him here for ages.

I found one in Ojaiha's quarters in the Yuan-ti Temple in Chult but that is the only Greataxe +5 I've seen throughout the whole game.

Truth be told I'm looking for the Massive Greataxe of Flame +5 and the Greataxe of Digestion +5. I'd love to find those somewhere but it's rather frustrating travelling the lengths of the game and never finding even a trace of them.

EDIT: I've just reached the third level of Dragon's Eye (HoF) and still no sign of any Greataxe +5 aside from the one I've already found.

There are no Greataxes with +5 enchantment anywhere on sale, as a treasure or as a monster drop. Your only hope of finding one is a random drop, and since +5 weapons are considered powerful, there aren't that many monsters that could even theoretically drop one

So, in short.. you're shafted.

So theoretically, which monsters could drop that axe? I'd really like to get it, because the Massive Greataxe of Flame +5 is pretty much the reason that I took axe profiency and not greatswords...

As I said, I found it in Ojaiha's room in Heart of Fury. It's in my earlier post if you didn't notice.
