Why don't these carry over from lvl to lvl, like NWN? I'm having leftover skill points that I have to spend on skills that are crappy, worthless, and that I never use! Is this a bug or something?

What are you talking about? You can leave unused skill points for next time you level up... Well, one anyway.

Actually, it seems that I have the same problem with disappearing unused skill points. I haven't installed the new patch though since an international version is not yet ready.

To ywpark: install the new patch or use DaleKeeper2.

I have the European version of the game (which means it comes patched). Here you can leave one skill point, but no more, for next level.

It was like this always, even before the patch. You can leave only 1 skill point for the next level up, otherwise the confirmation button stays disabled. You *have* to spend all but 1 skill point.

Correct me if I'm wrong but in the 3E rules I thought that you couldn't save your skill points. Again, I could be wrong about this though.

Well, I don't know the 3E rules regarding this issue. But it does make sense to be able to save 1 point, because you might be getting only 1 point per level up, and you may want to get a skill that requires 2 points.

They should have made cross-class skills like in normal 3E, 1 skill point buys you 0.5 of a skill.

But they do!There are cross-class skills and one point buys 0.5 the thing is if you have only one point you must wait for the next level to take the skill you desire.

I hav ethe American Version, and it's patched. So if this is right, is NWN the wrong one? I could save like 8 extra skill points for one level of rogue, and spend them somewhere else on the next lvl up..

No, I was answering Atreides actually. I think the NWN way of doing this is the best and most flexible. Even allowing the sorcerer to rectify his spell choices on level-up is really great.
