Alright. This is my first time posting on this board, but I need alittle help. I purchased Icewind Dale 2 in December of last year. Played it thoroughly and then stopped for abit. Recently I got the urge to start that baby up and play some. So I popped in my CD and started up the game. I made a new party and got ready for the game to start. It loaded for the prologue...then my computer froze. No error or anything, couldn't Ctrl+Alt+Del or Alt+Tab. Nothing worked. So I restarted. Then I tryed loading one of my other saves. Same result. Load screen, bar got to the end, and then it froze and had to restart. So I uninstalled the game and reinstalled it, and DLed the recent patch from this site. Made new characters again and loaded up. Same result. Can anyone help me? Or forward me to a professional site that has an email address where they can address my problem? (Bioware was bought out, and I can't get Interplay's Site to load - www.interplay.com) (http://www.interplay.com)) Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Interplay has gone under some time ago, so there is no official support for the game any more. What you get on fansites and possibly BioWare's site is all there is.

If you haven't already, I suggest you take a look at the technical FAQ posted in the sticky in this forum ( http://www.sorcerers.net/Games/IWD2/technical_faq.php ) to see if anything applies to your situation.

If not, start by providing us with your system specs and which OS you use.

This sounds very strange
To me it looks like something is wrong with your OS, not the game itself.

Have you used regedit to clear all the registry values?

Regedit? Sorry. Not the biggest PC gamer except for the Infinity Engine Games. How would I go about doing that?

You shouldn't need to do that, so nevermind. Rather do what I suggested in my post.
