Please could someone tell me the Release Dates for IWD2? And is this worth getting even if i'm already getting my copy of NWN in 3 days?

I picked IwD2 over Nwn. So my opinon is obviously slanted.

Yeah, there's no release date yet. You can check out the progress in the Diary. At last count they still had 150+ bugs/features/checkmarks to clear up before release. They've probably whittled that down to 100 now. And they just got it to the point where you could play through the game without setting variables manually.

I figure it might go gold by the end of this month, at the absolute earliest time.

I was at a game shop today killing time before seeing Minority Report (pretty good, not a hint of Spielburg). Word is the datye is 08/08/02.

Now, why would a game store have the release date, but yet the webpage of the site that is designing it doesnt.. and neither does SP :hmm:

Ive read that the game is supposed to go gold end of this month, but it might not be till the begining on July.. because isnt not gone gold yet.. and it only has 2 or three more days...

If you've ever bothered to read the designer diaries at RPG Vault (which have all been posted in the news here), you would have known that the game is this close to being finished. They've only been fixing bugs for weeks now.

And they'll likely be fixing them for many more weeks, so it doesn't become like BG2 and have fans fixing all the bugs.

In other words cheating :grin:

Amazon.com's estimate of a ship date comes off my pre-order ....
