I'm thinking of play BG2 in multiplayer mode with 2 characters I create/control, and then picking up 4 NPCs throughout the game. Anyone know what kind of effect this will have on the game? Will the game still react as if my main character was the 'main storyline' character? Currently playing a Cavalier, but want to also play a Elf Fighter/Thief for stealth & backstab.

Your game will be the same as it is in single player mode, of course you may very well get different reactions and quests based on the new character you play for multi.
