Yep, just completed all ten levels of the Battle Squares. It was pretty damn tough and took a while. :xx: As a matter of fact I'm going to have to take at least 48 hours off of playing IWD2 because of those darn squares.

Anyway, you can get some great gear for beating all 10 levels, but that's all ready been covered here. I'm curious if anybody knows how much XP you can rack up. Doesn't seem like much to me, around 14,000 give or take a few hundred points. :D That's just a rough estimate on my part. Anyone know exactly how much or have a closer guess than mine.

I thought- although I may be wrong- that it depends on the level of your party when you do each rank. Usually in this game when there's a set number of xp that you get, you get a little message about it, "You have killed Hierephus, Priest of Bane. Your party has gained experience 1200 xp" or something like that. Whereas in Battle Squares you just get the xp out of the blue, like when you kill a monster and the xp had been calculated based on the challenge rating. My own guesstimate of the total xp was more like 20,000 than 14,000.

I will be very interested to hear if someone else can answer this differently.

@Mathetais, you can enable an option in the Config program aptly named "Display Quest XP" which displays the amount of XP you earn for completeing Quests and battles. If you already have this option turned on, well then somethin' ain't right.

That crossed my mind Sprite, and that seems correct. My party of four were all at high levels by the time I did the squares, and I was earning some pretty low amounts of XP, especialy during the earlier levels.

I thought maybe you'd get a set amount, after all the Squares are a chore to complete (at least for me). Anyway it would be nice to know for sure, but I have a feeling you are right, Sprite.

When I finished the battle squares, it was my second time through starting with a pure fighter from scratch. I finished it after visiting the monk place and buying the book of 10k exp. The only difference was this and used an Arc of Gold bow with arrows +2 for most of my kills. I got only about 6k XP with a party of 4 of which one was a higher level.
