After fending off the first goblin raid on the Palisade, I received a "collar" that ables the use to cast Beast Claws once/day. How do I use it? I see nothing in my spells/feats/ or special abilities.
Thanks.
K
On a complete side note, I have a Rogue that I was gonna keepe pure, but she had 20 dex and her fav class is Ranger, will I gain anything other than a "favored enemy" if I mult- class her with ONLY one ranger level?

You'll be able to access the collar's special abilities via the equipment abilities button thingy. I think it looks kinda like a backpack. As for the ranger multi-class, aside from the favoured enemy, and exp. penalty if it's not a favoured class, you'll get free Ambidexterity and some othe feat which I can't remember at the moment, while wearing light armor. Btw, in my opinion, taking only one level of ranger is not worth it. I did it with my Druid, and I've regretted it ever since.

You get the ability to dual wield. There are some daggers you find that act like shields so it might be worth it if you are thinking of getting your character into melee.

rngr1/rogueX is one of the common multiclasses...
the 1 rngr level grants you the ability to fight with 2 weapons as if you had ambidex and dual wielding feats... you get to select a favored enemy, and you get slightly higher hit points for one level...
I am not sure about the BAB progression... or if the ranger has proficiency in any weapons that the rogue does not...
the ranger also has many of the same in-class skills, so you should end up falling too far behind in skills like hide/move silently...
if you plan to sneak attack with your rogue, dual weilding is a very effective method to dish out damage.
the loss of 1 rogue level is worth the 2 free feats, favored enemy bonus, and slightly higher hit points, imho.

My favoirite thing in that battle (if you are playing HOF mode) is the staff that that goblin drops you can use it one-handed but that is the only 1-handed staff in the game I think there should be some more.
