I have checked all the scripts and files, but I didn't find where I could stop the dead bodies from fading after sometime or when you load your game.

That annoy me a lot, do somebody know the solution
thanx

There is a determined period of the "existence" of dead bodies. After that time they will disappear.
The savegames store the value of elapsed time (game time), so the disappearance of bodies should not be affected by saving or loading.

You would like to stop the bodies disappear.
As far as I know this is coded into the game deeply so it is probably impossible to change that value.
I have not met this problem during my modding activity before.

Why do you want to stop the bodies fading away?

Well I hate games when bodies disappear, at least they should disappear after a long time like Jagged alliance 2, I understand you clean the street of a city, but in forest or cave... no

I like to come back and see the vestige of a battle and think: ha yeah I was here, and I kick some asses, also I like to let in some places some weapons and stuff in case I will need them later like in Fallout.

Does anybody could understand me?

Please... work on your english :shame:

Your post is barely legible. There is a spell-checker on top of this page... use that.

Does anybody could understand me?Maybe you'd get better responses if people could understand what you mean without having to reread it half a dozen times. No one expects perfection but long posts littered with spelling and grammatical mistakes are just going to get people ignoring you.

It is not necessary to pollute a topic to berate someone for their lack of English skills. If you are truly concerned that their topic is not getting the attention it deserves because of it, a PM would suffice.

I like to come back and see the vestige of a battle and think: ha yeah I was here, and I kick some assesYou don't return to most places where you "kicked some asses" in IWD2. I mean, once you've cleared Shengarne Bridge (for example), you're not going back there. And believe me, you won't forget any of the asses you kicked. Trust me.

also I like to let in some places some weapons and stuff in case I will need them later like in Fallout. If you need it, you need it with you, not in some storage container-- though you can store things in many of the containers that you have looted (if they don't respawn). Now, I would suggest getting a couple of mods-- the Bottomless Bags and AmmoBelt mod (http://www.sorcerers.net/Games/IWD2/index_editors1.htm), and the Weimer WeiDU Ease-Of-Use mod (http://www.weidu.org/iwd2.html) for the Infinite Stacking (you don't have to install any of the other parts of the mod if you don't want to). Those are actually quite helpful, combined with the Bag of Holding you get just about the time that you really start to need a Bag of Holding ;) .

But part of the fun and interest of this game is that you can't keep everything you might need. Maybe you need to sell it for money to buy more Flaming Oil, or Potions of Extra Healing, or spell scrolls. Maybe you just can't carry it, what with a slashing weapon, a bludgeoning weapon, a ranged piercing weapon and a ranged bludgeoning weapon, plus armor et al (and you with your STR of 10 or 12). Maybe no one has the Exotic Weapon: Bastard Sword feat, and you know no one is going to get it till they level up in another 12000 points, if something else isn't more important by then-- which it probably will be. Maybe you have everyone dual-wielding, so no matter how cool the shield you found is, no one is going to use it.

You just have to decide. You'll have to sell some really wonderful stuff that you wish someone in your party could use, but IWD2 really forces you to live in the Now, and focus on how to kill the enemy types in the area you're in, not speculate on what kind of enemies you might meet in the future.

That may not be the style of gaming you're used to, but it is pretty interesting once you get used to it.

Thank you for the answers , well when my english is so bad it´s when i'm quite tired .
I have just started the game , i will like it more with the 2 mods you told me .
Well from the concept of the game , the fact than the bodies fade out does not bother me so much like you follow a path (storyline)

Having made that whole speech, I have had to practice what I preach... I just sold pretty much everything but my party's underwear to buy some extraordinarily expensive stuff from Nym in the Wandering Village (Ch. 3)... and now I've gone back to finish up the Battle Squares from Chap. 2, to acquire even more to sell so I can buy the couple of things I still couldn't afford.... It hurt, I gotta say :( . The selling, not the Greater Feyrs (who are no party either) .

Tavro the Huntmaster will just have to live in ignorance of my success at his quest till I get a couple more BS levels...Nym's not leaving till I've cleaned him out :) .

I can't understand how you are so out of money. I always have it more than I need. Maybe that's because I sell all those bolts and arrows of dispelling, flaming, +5 and stuff.

By the way, _Tavro_ the huntsmaster? I'm pretty sure it is Tahvo. Maybe that was just a spelling mistake or something. I don't care much about names (normally) but that wandering village concept is taken from Finland, the names and all. :) It's really nice to see something familiar in a game like this.

Yes, sorry, it was a spelling error. Normally I do care about names, but I didn't realize that these were real names, in a language I could know, rather than the usual made-up fantasy names.

So is Finnish like Dutch, then-- one of those not-so-well-known-by-the-general-world-populace languages that looks so cool that sci-fi and fantasy writers tend to use it for names and odd words? I found it really funny, when I started learning Dutch, how many books I had previously read turned out to feature aliens/fantasy creatures with Dutch names.

------------------------------------------

As to your question-- I was out of money for 2 reasons. One, I haven't sold those bolts and things, because I have a horrible suspicion that I might need them in the second half of the game, and I don't have any assurance I'll be able to buy them when I someday get to Kuldahar.

Two, I'm using the Weimer-Ease-of-Use "some HoF items in regular mode" mod, and while I'm sure these items are still quite expensive in regular mode, the HoF versions are astronomical. I mean, like over 100,000 gold. Of course, since some of the loot items are also HoF, they can be sold for similar high sums, but it's still difficult to come up with some 250,000 gold or so in the space of two and a half sub-quests.

But actually, I like that. At least I don't feel like I'm "cheating", because I have had to work-- pretty hard-- to get the money for these special items. And because my party is small (only 4), I don't feel like having these items makes us invincible, but more that we have a reasonable chance of survival, because now we can implement some of the more extreme strategies that a smaller party needs to survive intact.

I don't know if finnish language is used that much, but maybe some fantasy writers use Finland's mythology and history in their books. I don't know if it sounds cool to others, but I'll let you decide for yourself.

En tiedä käytetäänkö suomenkieltä niin paljon, mutta ehkä jotkut fantasiakirjailijat käyttävät Suomen mytologiaa ja historiaa kirjoissaan.

That was the same in finnish what I just written in english up there.
Maybe I should try that HoF thing after I finish the game in normal mode. Just when I get those Isair's and Madae's head off their shoulders. Tried that now for a week. :(
