i read the walkthrough but it was unclear i told him to come back tomorrow, but i guess he's gone forever?

If you go back to his house after the day is over then you should find him ready to rejoin the party.

If you did things right, and have her forgive her wife and avoid killling that guy, he will take a little holiday with his family and re-join tomorrow. Unless ofcourse you saidhim that you do not want his services anymore!

If you told him you didn't need his services, he's gone for good. If you told him you'll meet him tomorrow, check his estate in the gov't district first, then the Order in the Temple district.
