There seem to be a never-ending supply of stone monks, no matter which order I throw the levers. I'm assuming I'm looking for a key on them to open the door? Is there a particular order I should be pulling these things in....or just keep trying random combinations?

Yes, there is a specific order. If you look carefully around the room, you should see a clue to the correct pattern.

If you do the pattern correctly, you will face five rounds of monk fighting and then be done. The levers stay down as long as you keep pulling the right ones. If you do pull down an incorrect one, all of them will reset and you will have to start over.
