Do the feats like Expertise also apply when using ranged weapons like crossbows? The description says that they work in "melee", but that's a bit vague. So I'm wondering...

Seemed to work when my mage was using a throwing dagger, and (I think) spells like Mord's sword and Black Blade of Disaster.

Well, a throwing dagger's another thing you can't be sure about since it can also be used normally... Anyone else with any insight here?

I have "Expertise" feat for both my diviner and rogue/wizard. They both use it constantly at +5 and when I switch to a ranged weapon, I lose 5 AC which means that the feat do not apply to ranged weaponry.
