Frustrated here, think I really screwed up & may have to start over. I have all 4 ropes & killed the boy twice. I left the area to rest & go back for the Holy Avenger. When I came back to Dragons Eye to open the door, it will NOT open. I cannot find another way down & have searched the whole area. Do I have to backtrack & do this whole area again? Thanx to anyone who responds.

You need to go back upstairs, get 4 wyvern stingers, take them to the lachemist's lab. Put them on the table that is used for poison traps, pull the lever used to make the histachii brew, or have the alchemist do it for you if alchemy skill not high enough. Then take the potions u just made and put one each into the four basins of water that had poison stains on the outside on the level with the hydraulic door. Then it will open.

Thanks Upidstay. I've already done that but will do it again. Maybe I used the wrong poison!
