The "star" button (usually 1st on the right). The feat icon is a shield.

Are you sure you chose it? Is it listed with your other feats on the 3rd stats tab?

Stormcast ... a simlar thing happened to my druid. He was not given his wildshapes (shambler feat, polar bear) under the star icon. I had to run the install utility and repair my game.

We thought it was a bug at first, so I e-mailed my saved game to Extremist, and once he opened it, he had all the feats. I repaired my game, and had the feats as well. See the "Druid Bug" thread for more info.

:good:

I have noticed the same problem with my Cleric/Druid. I just didn't bother to look into it until I stumbled across this post.
I will try what you suggest Mathetais, and hopefully I'll have expertise in no time :D

k, tnx Mathetais. IK'll give it a try..

Nopes, didn't work, but I'm finished even without the feat...

Last battle was a bit to easy I think though

Sorry for raising up a dead thread, but what is the real advantage of expertise? From what I see in desc you must sacrifice 5 BAB to get +5 AC until next turn. Is that indeed so useful (1/day or at will is another question)?

It works like power attack, where once you choose to activate it it will remain in effect until you deactivate it, and it is not limited in its number of uses.

Thank you. Then it seems worthy.

The type of character that can really take advantage of it is a Rogue-based character.

Since Rogues have to place some premium on Intelligence for the sake of skills, he already has the prerequisite.

Win the Brilliant Short Sword +5 from the Battlesquares challenge, which bypasses armor and shield bonuses. Crank expertise to the max, and your Rogue (at least in normal mode) will hit at least as often as the warriors and be relatively unscathed for it.

What about a paladin that suffices for the requirement?

For me, a Paladin without the Holy Avenger is like expecting a ride in the coach without the horse. The picture just doesn't look right.

Deck a Paladin out with Mithral Field Plate, Brazen Bands, and the Tower Shield +2, and he doesn't have a lot to worry about either.

For a party that includes both a Paladin, and a Rogue, it makes more sense to me to have the Rogue using the Brilliant Short Sword +5 - Expertise feat combination.
