View Full Version : Favorite NPC name?
Blog Sun, 9th Feb '03, 11:37pm So which NPC has a cool name?
I like Ferric Ironblade (in Samia's party at Windspear). He's got "iron" written all over him, and Ferric just makes him sound... poisonous  The only thing he's missing is a poisonous sword.
Kitrax Mon, 10th Feb '03, 1:30am Well, I like the custom NPC named Goo.
[EDIT] I forgot to say Noober and his cousin Neeber! I love those guys! :rolling:

Wordplay Mon, 10th Feb '03, 4:56pm Tough one; canīt remember very many of the names, but Sarevok Anchev comes to mind first. Heh, I bet you didnīt even know he had a surname. Another one: Ellesime. Why? I like of elven names.
Misiek Mon, 10th Feb '03, 5:33pm Orrick the Grey i think :)
[When did Orrick travel to Amn from Icewind Dale?] -Tal
Sorry for that.

Vedran Mon, 10th Feb '03, 7:09pm Where is his surname mentioned? It is not anywhere in Dialog.tlk.
ArrynMorgerim Mon, 10th Feb '03, 8:45pm Sarevok's surname... I think I have read it somewhere in the game. Perhaps Rieltar(?) Anchev, his father?
Fallen Paladin Mon, 10th Feb '03, 8:52pm Yes, it's Sarevok Anchev
ddgoon Mon, 10th Feb '03, 9:20pm haven't really figured out what's she's for, but in the crypts underneath the graveyard, there's a woman called "Food." What quest is she involved in, anyway?
Blog Tue, 11th Feb '03, 2:26am Food? Are you sure about that? There's that spider lady Na'Pai or something like that...
Here some more interesting names:
Ribald from Adventurer's Mart - check the dictionary, it means a lewd person; a rascal. Suits him alright, especially in chapter 6 when he charges you just to BROWSE.
Aerie - again, the dictionary says its an eagle's (or other predatory birds) nest. Go figure. :hmm:
Kleptomaniac Tue, 11th Feb '03, 12:31pm I really like Valygar Corthola, sounds cool :)
Other cool names are Irenicus, Sarevok and Garren Windspear.
Eze Tue, 11th Feb '03, 3:36pm Corthala.
That name rocks. If I were a dark, tall handsome stalker guy with parents as liches, I would definitely want my name to be Valygar Corthala. Heh.
ArrynMorgerim Tue, 11th Feb '03, 9:36pm 1)Actualy all the names of noble houses sounds pretty good.
2)dragon names
3)Phaere, Imoen, Bodhi, Joneleth
All the names seem to be natural to me unlike the ones in many other games.
Keihdra Tue, 11th Feb '03, 9:48pm I always liked Haer'Dalis. It just sounds cool. Then again, bards should have good names.
Blog Wed, 12th Feb '03, 2:09am There's also some halfling in the bridge district pub whose last name is Thunderburp. Funny :D
I think Gaal from the Unseeing Eye quest means "false god" or something similar. How very appropriate.
Kitrax Wed, 12th Feb '03, 8:49am I also like that Baalspawn in Trademeet...what's his name? Viaking or something. I still think Neeber and Noober are the best though...maybe I'll name my next dog Noober. :rolling:
Eze Wed, 12th Feb '03, 8:24pm Viekang. Viaking sounds like a shortened version of the King of Viagra.
Eze shudders
Apeman Wed, 12th Feb '03, 8:48pm Lord Jierdan firkraag, I love when he says it's own name when you first meet him in the copper coronet.
Elan Morin Tedronai Thu, 13th Feb '03, 7:38am Sarevok Anchev!! It rox! More than any other!
Loerand Fri, 14th Feb '03, 4:07pm I think that Aran Linvail is really cool
LKD Fri, 14th Feb '03, 9:38pm I like Odesserion (sp) -- It sounds cool and dangerous, whether it's preceded by Edwin or Edwina. DeViir is also pretty slick (I like the "de" prefix, obviously)
Farthy Sat, 15th Feb '03, 11:56am Valeria, I think, is the best female name in the game.
Laylene is also kinda nice.
For male names, I think I'll go with Keldorn.
Blog Mon, 17th Feb '03, 9:16am How about Anomen? Is it just me, or does anyone else like to call him A-No-Man instead? :D
