Arcanum is kickass RPG. I'd say the best RPG released this year.
You can get it anywhere - if there is no store nearby, try at Amazon from a link above.
For online play, can't say, I never play online. It has multiplayer, but I really don't know nor want to know how it works.

I agree with Extremist: Arcanum is a very good game, and very easy to play(though you have to think a little sometimes). The world of the game mixes magic with tecnology in a very interesting way. It's a better RPG than BGII, maybe only Planescape can beat Arcanum.

Arcanum is an old-fashioned CRPG in a steampunk setting (the steam engine has been invented and mages fight with scientists). If you've ever played Fallout you know what Arcanum is like. It takes some time getting used to the game, but when you get the hang of it, it's pretty easy.
You can get it at your local computer games store and the online playing doesn't cost extra. It forces you to use real-time mode and travel without the map though (extremely tedious).

as a note to multiplayer theres only ever about 20-50 ppl at one time playing and in the chat rooms, its currently disabled (the multiplayer) in the new patch so dont worry bout it till the next comes out
