Computer RPGs like BG1, BG2, Arcanum etc.

normally these games are just called RPG's. BG, BG2, etc ARE RPG's. But with the terms cRPG and RPG, we make a difference between RPG's that are played on computer, and non-computer-rpg's like D&D.

It is good to use cRPG, for with RPG's on the computer, RolePlaying is a limited thing, so there is a great difference between RPG's and cRPG's.

Computer RolePlaying Games. Are just computer games where you take a role. Simple eh? :1eye:

Thee are two major types of cRPGs: some of them based on pen and paper RPGs, for example Baldurs Gate, Icewind dale, and the others rule-system is entirely created by it's creators, for example Arcanum, Betrayal at Krondor.

And there are games that are called RPG's, but definetly aren't, like Diablo2, :)

Then there are the linear japanese RPG's like most of the Final Fantasies.
