The girdle I don't know, but you also need a scroll, what's on the Shadow Dragon in the Temple Ruins.

If I remember correctly the girdle is located in the Kuo-Toa section of the Underdark. There is an area where there is a dark temple with a symbol in front of an alter. If you move an animal onto the symbol it is sacrificed and some demon knights appear. One of them is carrying the girdle.

JSBB is right.

Be prepared to fight for it though ;)

I may be in a minority here, but I'm of the opinion that assembling Crom is not worth it. In general, I think it's better to have two strength-enhancing items than one 25 STR hammer. I'd rather use the belt plus the Flail of Ages (or insert your fave weapon here), with the guantlets left over for another character.

I thought of that once before, but later found another str enhancing girdle(Ribald sells 1 of them), so unless more than half your party are warriors, I think the str25 crom faeyr is more worthy.

I prefer melee-heavy parties, so I guess it just suits my style more. The third girdle is so deep into the game that it's kinda pointless unless you're continuing to ToB.

My current pass-through is with a dwarven battlerager, so I've decided to get Crom Fayer for him only to dual-wield him with the [snip]... In all of the games, I never make a full assemble of Crom Fayer - there is noone, who can take it and I HATE Anomen... Besides better have more strength enhancing items, than just one...

I remember a way to keep the girdle, gauntlets hammer and still get Crom Faeyr. You have to give those items to a single person(weakest is best). Just before talking to Cromwell you must command the rest of the party to attack the person carrying the items. Talk to cromwell with person carrying the stuff and asemble the hammer. After he/she dies you get Crom Faeyr. And you can pick up the gauntlets, girdle from the dead body of the person you killed. With a rod of resurection you can restore that person back to live. (It also works for other items, shadow dragon scales etc.)

Why not just use ShadowKeeper ? Makes cheating alot easier.

If you want to cheat, just console in the bloody hammer -- the code is "HAMM09" Easy as pie.
I rather like the hammer, though. It makes playing a cleric or combination thereof worthwhile. I especially like giving it to Korgan and having him dual wield it with an axe.

I think there's a difference between cheating and cheese. What he's referring to, I would consider cheese, what the other guys are saying, is cheating.
I think that while cheating is worse, this kind of cheese is pretty bad too.

But why do it the hard way? Why give the components to a character and then kill them? How about you just pause the game before Cromwell talks to you to give the hammer, drop the stuff and still receive the hammer. This way noone dies :) . Anyway, it's VERY cheesy and you might almost just as well CLUAConsole it in...

I don't think the two strength enhancing items are better than the Crom Faeyr. The girdle gives 21 strength, which is weaker than the 25 from the Crom Faeyr and the gauntlets give 18/00 strength. This is probably a little better than your non-Half-orc fighters, but they should have at least 18/** strength anyway, so it isn't that much of a boost. You could also use it on someone with low strength, but that person will probably not be a warrior (or he would have high strength), so he won't make much use of it.

You need an actual animal, not a statue. Use one of the monster summoning spells, and then send the monster onto the altar.

You have to cast a summoning spell in front of the statue. (=sacrifice)

edit: same minute :p

In the kua-toa section is a door (x 2800 y 1670).
In this room you have to summon an animal by the big demogorgon statue(can't miss it) Then you have to fight 5 demon knights to get the girdle. Good luck. They are pretty strong.

hehe didnt think of summoning a freaking animal.
I made it without though, I found out by accident that the fire-elementals can follow you into the kua-toa section and that they will be sacificed aswell if you make them go up on the statue(only in one exact spot though)

Or use the spider statue you found in the graveyard, it works well.
